How a Simple 'No' After Party Landed Man in Maximum Security Prison
Kelvin Waruguru

Kelvin Waruguru’s life took an unexpected and tragic turn, leading him to a death sentence at Nyeri King’ong’o Maximum Prison.

At the age of 25, Waruguru, a resident of Kirinyaga County, found himself embroiled in a grave situation that would forever alter the course of his life. Despite his humble beginnings and lack of a college education, Waruguru had managed to carve out a successful path for himself, establishing a thriving business in the sale of second-hand shoes and pursuing other entrepreneurial ventures. However, fate intervened, and a night of celebration with friends and family would prove to be the catalyst for his downfall.

During an interview on the Njeraini Citu show, Waruguru recounts the fateful events that unfolded. On the night in question, his friend had organized a birthday party for his girlfriend, who had recently returned from the United States. The lively gathering, held at a local establishment, extended to the early morning hours. As weariness set in for some, Waruguru found himself in a predicament when his friend requested that his girlfriend spend the night at Waruguru’s apartment.

Waruguru declined the request not knowing that this decision would have far-reaching consequences. The following day, Waruguru found himself in the crosshairs of the law as his very friend whom he had refused to accommodate leveled grave accusations against him. The friend claimed to have been assaulted, while the lady alleged assault and abuse. The next day, Waruguru was apprehended by the police.

For more than two weeks, Waruguru languished in police custody before being granted bail. Despite the victim’s parents expressing a desire to drop the charges, the prosecutor remained steadfast in their pursuit of justice. In a twist of fate, Waruguru’s decision to seek employment in Mombasa led to his absence during the trial, resulting in a judge issuing an arrest warrant for him. Consequently, he found himself incarcerated and facing the harsh reality of a death sentence.

As Waruguru navigates life in Nyeri King’ong’o Maximum Prison, he reflects on the profound impact of his actions. The confinement of both body and mind weighs heavily upon him, serving as a sobering reminder of the importance of prudence and caution. In his advisory to the youth, Waruguru urges them to steer clear of actions that could lead to imprisonment, reiterating the grave consequences that can stem from even the most seemingly innocent choices.

The opposite question is truer: Why would a sane, self respecting man host a loose, promiscuous woman? Self respecting men (& women) nowadays literally run away from p*##y. Respect for many women has nose dived more they’ve become generous with their p*##ys
