The family of Judy Njeri Mwaura, also known as Mwari wa Mwaura, is urgently seeking assistance to locate her following her disappearance in Saudi Arabia.
Njeri was last seen on Friday, December 13, 2024, when she was discovered in a distressed state by a passerby. Reports indicate that she was found lying by the roadside, unable to communicate, with her belongings nearby. According to a Facebook post by philanthropist Mercy Nungari, the discovery of Njeri has left her family in shock, particularly as they had spoken with her just a day earlier when she appeared happy and well.
Nungari notes, “The family since then have been in great shock because on Thursday they had communicated well with her and she was happy and jovial without any problem.”
In light of this troubling situation, Njeri’s family has reached out to the Kenyan embassy in Saudi Arabia for urgent assistance in tracing her whereabouts. Following her initial discovery, Njeri was reportedly taken to the Sakan deportation centre but subsequent information regarding her location remains unclear.
This uncertainty has intensified concerns about her safety among her parents, who are desperately hoping for swift action to reunite with their daughter. The situation surrounding Njeri has drawn considerable attention on social media, with many users expressing their concern and prayers for her safe return.
Community member Wanjiru Boniface highlights the sacrifices made by many individuals seeking better opportunities abroad and offers prayers for divine protection for Njeri and others in similar circumstances. In a related matter, another Kenyan woman in Saudi Arabia, Damaris Mutua, has made a public appeal for help.
Mutua, currently detained at a deportation centre in Riyadh, claims she has been wrongfully accused of theft and is seeking assistance to reunite with her young daughter in Kenya.
