There was drama in Kitale, Trans-Nzoia County on Friday after a cheating couple was found ‘stuck’ while having sex in a lodging room.

The two had booked a room at Baraka Hotel in Kitale town, but moments later, attendants at the hotel heard screams emanating from the room. The hotel management moved quickly to respond to the shouts, but found the two stuck together as they performed the act.

Nairobi News reports that the man reportedly lives in Lodwar town with his wife and family, but had travelled to Kitale for his usual business engagements.

Unverified reports from the man’s wife said that the woman he was having an affair with was his landlady back in Lodwar. The wife allegedly told the police that she began suspecting that his husband was cheating on her with the landlady after she noticed a pattern where the landlady happened to leave every time his husband travelled to Kitale for business.

She then decided to seek the services of a witch doctor in a bid to nab her cheating husband. The shaman helped her set up a trap that led to the scenes that were witnessed at the Kitale hotel on Friday.

The hotel manager called police who arrived at the hotel and took the ‘stuck’ couple to the police station. The man’s wife reportedly showed up at the police station minutes after the two were arrested.

A huge crowed had gathered at the police station to witness the bizarre incident, but police were forced to shoot in the air to disperse the group as they whisked the two to an unidentified location where the magic man separated them.

    If this is the news that is flashed in the main newspapers(hope not) at a time when we are dealing with highest forms of impunity in the country, then we are in deep deep doo-doo. That said, this story tells us the country is ailing from the nuclear family level, extended family, community and all the way to the national government. We all need to deeply search our souls. And to have the press copy and paste this picture is irresponsible, humiliating to the said couple plus all children and families involved. It is unnecessary and the guy in charge of the so called moral authority in the government should take note and fine the press accordingly.

    Stories like these from the gutter press go to show how gullible and superstition we are or can be. Shown a picture of a man lying on a woman, accompanied by a salacious storyline, we quickly believe the account and proceed on to proclaim how the spirits are at work. Jameni! Is that all our minds take to believe, or are we just wired to believe anything with a dose of superstition in it. Show me how those two are stuck and I am sure to find a more valid medical explanation for it.

      @ Anos, its called penis captivus. Yes it happens,even in marriages.But from what I have read and head is that this”sticking” lasts for only afew minutes.
      Personally, I doubt if it has anything to do with witchcraft.
      With the amount of cheating going on in Kenya,and the nervousness and fear of being caught, I can see this happening .Let me out it in perspective. If 100,000 women cheat in Nairobi,and one is”stuck” sure it will hit the tabloids .To me I would acknowledge uchawi,if 90% of cheating wives got stuck.And yes not all suspecting wives will go for a mganga,but still, I highly doubt his magic would make two love birds get stuck.
      If waganga had such powers, we would not need out judicial system,since these fellows seem to deliver justice,or at the very least work with the courts.

    I dont know how to call this but sometimes the ability to attract the other person and confuse their minds go deeper. it does not only happen to married people. its an epidemic especially for men to trap women married or not. when i was a teenager we had a young man in his early 20s who used to target the village girls. he used to say he has to touch all of the ones he like. Fortunately he was very famous with the ladies until he fathered like 10 to 15 children with different women. we were wondering of how he was the star with all those ladies who already knows he has made several of their friend pregnant. In other words something don’t add up. How can one be able to a situation many miles away. You must have supernatural power which you have achieved in unusual way or you must have been born a saint which the later is impossible.

    It would be better if the people at the motel and the authorities have decided to handle the matter with more respects for the right of the couple involving. I mean no large public should have been brought to the case . They could be fined or punished but not vulgarized .
