Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka has issued a stern warning to President William Ruto, cautioning him about an impending political wave that could potentially unseat him from power.
Musyoka has also put politicians from the Ukambani region on notice for aligning themselves with the Kenya Kwanza government, urging them to reconsider their allegiances. Musyoka asserts his readiness to contest for the presidency, claiming that he is the only candidate capable of defeating President Ruto in the next General Election. Drawing a parallel with Senegal’s recent election where the opposition candidate emerged victorious, Musyoka predicts a similar scenario in Kenya.
Speaking at a burial ceremony in Kaiti, Makueni on Friday, Musyoka suggested that the political situation in Kenya in 2027 will be even more intense than what occurred in Senegal, as Kenyans are growing weary and demanding respect for their rights. Musyoka contends that a political storm is brewing, one that will ultimately remove Ruto from office, likening it to the events in Kenya in 2002 and 1963. He criticizes Ukambani leaders who have aligned themselves with the Kenya Kwanza government, urging them to cease influencing locals with government favours.
Musyoka emphasises the need to address the issue promptly to prevent the community from being manipulated and bribed with their own funds. As a taxpayer, Musyoka urges the government to provide services to all citizens without discrimination. Furthermore, he cautions the Kamba community against supporting the Ruto-led government, noting that those who joined the ruling faction would face electoral consequences. Musyoka stresses the importance of remaining united and not allowing themselves to be exploited, considering the community’s history of being deceived in the past.
