Mudavadi Asks Western Kenya to Rally Behind Ruto

Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi has called on the Mulembe Nation to display true patriotism by collaborating with President William Ruto.

Mudavadi believes that the Luhya community has a better chance of benefiting from Ruto’s administration compared to the previous regimes. During a leaders’ meeting held at the State Lodge in Kakamega on Friday, Mudavadi emphasized the need to support the president’s transformation agenda for the country. The meeting convened by Ruto marked the end of his five-day tour of the Western region where leaders presented development proposals to him.

Mudavadi stressed that the national cake is in Ruto’s hands and it is crucial to realize this in good time. He urged parliamentary leadership from the region to keep an eye on the budget-making process to ensure significant projects are initiated in the Western region. Mudavadi encouraged leaders to prioritize the interests of the citizens, the future of the region, the youth, and development over their own interests.

According to the Prime CS, the focus should be on creating jobs and opportunities for Kenyans. Mudavadi further urged for a transformative approach that would change the way issues are addressed and challenges are tackled within the region. The leader stressed that elections are in the past and cannot be altered, urging all politicians to refrain from engaging in petty politics.

“Let this meeting be the second ‘earthquake’, let this be a game changer in the way we articulate and execute our issues and how we address our challenges. Let us rise above petty politics and unnecessary humour and be serious because there is no time to waste,” he said.
