Nyali MP Mohamed Ali alias ‘Moha Jicho Pevu’ has ventured into the media industry by launching his own radio station.
The broadcasting station whose name is yet to be revealed is based in Mombasa and has been allocated the frequency 88.0 FM.
Through his Facebook page, the first time MP announced he is searching for a radio presenter and disk jockey (DJ) for the “Mombasa’s newest and coolest radio station.”
“Are you a talented radio presenter or DJ? If yes, then you are the one we have been looking for. Here is a chance for you to work in Mombasa’s newest and coolest radio station,” his post read.
Ali joined politics in 2017 following a successful career in media as an investigative reporter for both KTN and NTV for over 10 years.
He rose to fame owing to his “Jicho Pevu” investigative segment on KTN, where he exposed various vices, including corruption and police brutality.
In 2017, he overcame the odds to win the Nyali parliamentary seat as an independent candidate.
Today, Ali is a close ally of Deputy President William Ruto, who is determined to succeed President Kenyatta in 2022.
