Kenya Has Recorded Two More Coronavirus Cases, Uhuru Announces

Kenya has recorded two more cases of coronavirus (Covid-19), President Kenyatta has announced.

Kenyatta made the announcement while addressing the nation from Harambee House, Nairobi on Sunday evening. Uhuru said the two new cases came into contact with a 27-year-old Kenyan woman who was diagnosed last Thursday.

The confirmation came after all the 27 people believed to have had contact with the patient were isolated and tested.

“Our health officials have already moved them into Kenyatta National Hospital isolation facility. The medical teams are closely monitoring the patients who are reported to be in stable condition and are responding well to treatment,” said Kenyatta.

The woman arrived at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) from the United States on March 5th. She later felt unwell and took herself to the hospital and a test done at the National Influenza Lab in Nairobi on Thursday night confirmed she had been infected with Covid-19.

The patient is said to have traveled from Ohio, where she is a student, to Chicago from where she flew to Nairobi via London.

  1. Did he not bring Cuban…
Did he not bring Cuban doctors to solve the problems of the Kenyan health care system.

Let the Cuban doctors handle it. Stop stressing Kenyan doctors with epidemics.

  2. @Guest it is good…
@Guest it is good preparation for the Kenyan doctors. They are working in their own country and putting into practice what their medical schools taught them unless they did not train on emergency situations and pandemics.it is a wake up call. We. Can not always depend on the outside world for everything.
