In a second video, a group of other officers is seen forcefully making their way into an apartment occupied by students where they fired tear gas canisters to smoke them out.

The university’s Senate in a special meeting resolved to shut down the institution indefinitely following student unrest.
In a memo, JKUAT Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Academic Affairs Prof. Robert Kinyua directed all students to clear from the campus by mid-day.

The action and attitudes displayed by this video is , of course, the attitude of Kenya Police top brass. Unless of course they want to confess that they have lost command and control of their charges. Matiang’i and Mutayambi, we are not fools to be hoodwinked by your so called “press Statement” on the brutality displayed. We know that the story has ended and nothing really, will come out of your so called ‘investigations”.
