Sharon Otieno Murder Case: 30 Witnesses Lined Up to Testify against Governor Okoth Obado

30 witnesses are set to testify against Migori Governor Okoth Obado in a case where he is charged with the murder of Rongo University student, Sharon Otieno.

The hearing of the case has been scheduled for December 2nd and 3rd this year. The prosecution said the 30 witnesses include two protected witnesses.

In the case, Obado is charged alongside his former personal assistant Michael Oyamo and Casper Obiero, a clerk in Migori County.

In September last year, the three denied killing Sharon and her seven-month unborn baby before Judge Jessie Lesiit.

Obado was released on a cash bail of Sh5 million while Mr. Obiero and Mr. Oyamo were freed on a cash bail of Sh1 million each or an alternative bond of Sh2 million each.

26-year-old Sharon disappeared on September 3rd, 2018 after a meeting with a Nation media journalist in Migori town. The student was found dead near Kodera Forest in Homa Bay County two days later.

Governor Obado later revealed that he had been in a love affair with Sharon, who was seven months pregnant at the time of her gruesome murder. A post-mortem carried out on her body revealed she was stabbed eight times, strangled and raped.

  1. This krimino should be in…
This krimino should be in jail already but instead he is busy lining his pockets! God help the people of Migori.

  2. I have come to believe that…
I have come to believe that some people are born evil, and the environment in which they are raised just exacerbate the “evilness ” in them.
This fellow Obado, had he not been agovernor,he would be afeared criminal burglarizing, and terrorizing people.Remember while suspicion of him stealing county funds were rampant,he was busing chasing ndogo ndogo, with the public loot he had stolen. Then he orchestrates the “disappearence” of his young mistress who was pregnant with his child.
Now tell me why would a law abiding, respected, and an upright man with a family and apparently aloving and obedient wife do such a thing?
Its just unfortunate ,I dont know how,but he was elected governor…Certainly Migori can get abeter governor than this crook. I hope that’s what they will have after the crook is sentenced to life na kazi ngumu.
And yes I know some of his supporters will tell me that he is innocent till proven quilty.Yes, that’s true, but that does not negate mounted evidence against him.Sure just like all crook,he wants to beat the wrap. Not this time.

  3. This man deserves death by…
This man deserves death by hanging. How cruel can a human being be so satanic to order death for a woman and unborn child. No money will buy you justice and may you rot in hell. May the evil spirits of satan be with you mr governor..
