Kibra Member of Parliament Ken Okoth has dismissed reports circulating on social media claiming that he is dead.
Taking to Twitter after the reports, MP Okoth has dispelled the fake news and asked online users to stop killing him before his time.
“I’m alive and kicking. Folks should stop killing me before my time with rumors,” he tweets.
Two months ago, the politician revealed he was battling stage four colorectal cancer.
Okoth said he cannot be cured at the stage and would be on medication for life.
“I was diagnosed with stage four colorectal cancer with metastases to the liver. By the time the doctor ordered some advanced scans, the cancer was found at stage four,” he said.
“The fear of the unknown that accompanies a cancer diagnosis is immense. Cancer changes your life completely,” added Okoth.
Last month, the second-ferm MP shared a photo showing how chemotherapy has affected his skin.
“Napambana na hali yangu kabisa. Chemo drugs brutal on the skin and immunity system,” he tweeted.
