A live television show was forced to go on a premature break after Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria and former Jubilee party vice-chairperson David Murathe got into a near fistfight.

The two were part of a panel invited for a political show on Kameme TV on Sunday evening.

The show went on well for over 20 minutes but hell broke loose after the topic shifted to the remarks made a few weeks ago by MP Kuria accusing President Kenyatta of neglecting Mt. Kenya region as far as development projects are concerned.

It is a comment by Murathe on Kuria’s claims that rubbed the Jubilee MP the wrong way. Murathe accused Kuria of running a malicious campaign against President Uhuru.

He said: “Let me address this guy, this one called Moses. There is a musician who has released a song saying he is running mad, I suspect it was Moses who wrote the song and gave it to the musician to record.”

“If there is one person who has benefited from Jubilee, it is Moses. The other day he took us to Gatundu and bragged that it’s a criminal offense not to have electricity in your house. Then he is the one embarrassing the President and saying very careless statements. I want to tell him to tame his mouth.”

However, Kuria quickly intercepted to call Murathe a political reject who has no authority to lecture elected leaders.

“You were rejected by Gatanga people, you should keep quiet when I am speaking, kwenda huko! (go to hell),” a seemingly irritated Kuria said.

The show transformed into a shouting match and the show’s host, Franklin Wambugu took an unexpected break before the two nearly got physical.

The show resumed minutes later and proceeded smoothly to the end.

This is the third time for Mshenzi Kuria to fight on live TV. I don’t know why these TV stations keep inviting him while knowing very well that he will show up drunk and disorderly. Or is this their idea of entertainment?

Cat fight. What purpose do these shows serve? These politicians have very little to say that matters to to the average Kenyan. Invite incisive analysts to discuss what ails Kenya.

Kuria is Rutos kanda ya moko. Murathe is Uhurus kanda ya moko. Enough said, let those who want to be used as tools get used.
