Jubilee Party Secretary-General Jeremiah Kioni has failed in his bid to defend the Ndaragua parliamentary seat.
Kioni conceded defeat to his competitor George Gachagua of the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party even though the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) is yet to release official figures and declare the winner.
Through his Twitter account on Wednesday, Kioni said he has accepted the results and thanked the residents for the opportunity to represent them in the National Assembly.
“I accept the results with honor and contentment. Congratulations to the incoming MP Hon George Gachagua. My great appreciation to my family, staff, campaign team, and Ndaragwa community,” Kioni said.
