Police in Nairobi are investigating an incident where three people reportedly died after drinking an unknown concoction at Amani National Congress (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi’s construction site.
Those who consumed the concoction are said to have complained of stomach pain before dying at different intervals.
Nairobi News reports that their bodies have been transferred to Umash funeral home even as police launched investigations into the matter.
In a statement on Twitter, Mudavadi, who is out of the country, has confirmed that three people died while four others were treated and discharged.
“On Thursday, 7 workers on a construction project in which I’ve partnered drunk an unknown concoction. Sadly 3 lost their lives but 4 have been discharged,” Mudavadi says in a tweet on Saturday.
The victims are said to have made the concoction at a construction site where they were working.
