Three Chinese Contractors Videotaped Beating Up Kenyan Man at a Construction Site [VIDEO]

A video of three Chinese contractors beating up a Kenyan man at a road construction site has gone viral online.

In the undated video, which is reported to have been captured along Maili Kumi-Solai Road in Nakuru County, the three Chinese men are seen arguing with the Kenyan before descending on him with blows and kicks.

“I cannot do that… I cannot do that…” the Kenyan man is heard shouting even as attempts to defend himself fail as he is overpowered by the three.

The three foreigners are employees of a Chinese company contracted to construct the Maili Kumi- Solai Road.

Sources say the Kenyan man got into trouble with the Chinese contractors after he allegedly questioned the quality of work done on the road.

A few months ago, Kenyan workers hired by a Chinese company building the Maili Kumi-Solai-Subukia road staged a demonstration to protest alleged mistreatment and harassment by their Chinese bosses.

“Working here has become difficult. You are fined when you carry a fellow driver on the vehicle, if the vehicle gets a puncture your salary is deducted, you are given a 50 Kilometer distance to drive in 20 minutes and if you fail your salary is deducted,” a driver said during the protest.

Disturbing and confusing. His folks are heard saying “amechokoza”? law and order should prevail be it to the Chinese or the natives. Natives should not intimidate the foreigners and the foreigners should not victimize the natives. Had it been a Kenyan contractor involved would this have made news?

  3. We would rather have dusty…
We would rather have dusty roads than seeing our fellow citizens been treated like this!… Can someone address this issues!. Can we not get engineers and hand men in our country?. It’s so hurting and seems we are foreigners in our own country. Why do this Chinese lower our dignity in our own country????????. What are University institutions do if they cannot produce engineers and construct roads????. This is ugly! Ugly and this guys must face the full force of law. This needs to be investigated and if someone was charged for a tire puncture they must be compensated. If the guy beaten was wrong it might be one way of grieving, raise concerns or demonstrating. Hello!!!!!….

Not only am I outraged by the behavior of the Chinese, I am surprised that bystanders are doing just that, standing by and not helping this uneven fight. If it was a purse snatcher, I bet 100 people would have jumped in. We cannot let these foreigners mistreat us in our own country

These are the same people who called the boy in statehouse a monkey and he could do nothing. He has sold Kenya to the Chinese but he thinks like the house negro.

Well, good for this guy for defending himself while the morons say “nirimuabia” he got a good shot in the face and for 3 he won this one. Go fund sis appropriate ????. This guy is a national hero.

  8. Re-colonization by the…
Re-colonization by the Chinese. How does the “Infamous Handshake” help in protecting the citizens ? Kenyans have been sacrificed at the altar of infrastructure. To get the so called “Development” from foreignors, we loose our Wealth (Mombasa Port), our language’s (start learning Chinese), our health (eat fake fish), we Will loose parts of our body by being beaten by the Chinese, we will loose our dignity (by being called monkey’s) next we will be told to take on Chinese names. This is the result of lack of leadership in our country. If the government cannot protect it’s citizens, it’s time for the citizens to take law into their own hands. It’s time for each of our citizens to ask themselves: Where is the Mau Mau in you? Tell your government to get the Chinese out of your country, and if the government cannot, make it so uncomfortable for the Chinese that they find the wisdom to park and leave. God give Kenya leaders not politicians. God help Kenya!!!

  9. The bystander effect in…
The bystander effect in Kenya has hit high levels. In no other country will you find foreigners terrorizing a defenseless native while the rest of the natives are watching. This has nothing to do with the government but the population itself. The question becomes why don’t Kenyans protect their own? Is it cowardice, self-centeredness or just lack of confidence and inferiority complex. People need to stand up for what is right, grow a spine, speak up and let the chips fall where they may. Again Uhuru will not come to your houses to teach you how to protect your fellow man. Be man enough.

    • Uhuru cannot teach anyone…
Uhuru cannot teach anyone how to protect himself. He has not protected himself from the abuses the Chinese call him.

The self esteem of the black man is constantly challenged and reduced to irrelevant.

@Mugikuyu. Righto! Slave mentality! If it was black to black ungeona maajabu ya mob justice!! On the other hand, I am mindful some of those guys will be relying on those masters for wages. It’s a nasty dilemma to be in!

  12. Mambo yote yaliyoandikwa…
Mambo yote yaliyoandikwa hapa ni mazuri sana.
Jamani, tunahitaji vitendo sasa kwa akili yetu bila kutumia nguvu kumwumiza mgeni au mwananchi!

    AKILI NI MALI.

  13. Look at it from the…
Look at it from the contractor’s or the employer’s view. If you allow every Tom Dick and Harry to intimidate you in the course of your business you will lose everything. Regardless of where you are home or away, defend your merchandise-either by the laws of the land or laws of the jungle. Not every argument needs to go to court, sometimes involve wazees, witchdoctors and fist fights and it settles it right there.
There could be race involved, but think also about the business transactions going on here. I do not condone victimization of workers or violence; but any signs of weakness as a trader, investor or employer will send the wrong signs to your employees and competitors and soon they will be helping themselves to your profits and resources including time.

  14. This pains me when i see…
This pains me when i see fellow kenyans not supporting their own. The other i watched an African kid getting mob justice and killed for sleeping with a Chinese students who was his girl friend in china. Reciprocation is todays part of international relations.
