President Uhuru Kenyatta's 45-Member 'Legacy Team' Unveiled

The newly recruited Presidential Delivery Unit (PDU) team has been unveiled following completion of an induction program.

State House Chief of Staff Nzioka Waita said the 45-member team will begin its official duties which include working together with various teams in the ministries to ensure government projects are actualized.

“It’s a delivery team whose main purpose is to track and report on progress of the Administration’s key projects and programs as well as coordinate dissemination of public information on the status of those key projects,” Waita said.

Notable members of the team include former Royal Media Services Managing Editor Nixon Ng’ang’a, former Citizen TV business journalist Mumbi Warui and Laban Onserio, a former business reporter at NTV.

Others are former NEMA Board member Patrick Ngatia, former Kasipul Kapondo MP Silvanus Onyango, politician Michael Rotich and former Buuri MP Boniface Kinoti.

The team will also work with County Commissioners as they track the delivery of President Kenyatta’s legacy projects at the county level.

PDU is a centre of government functions based in the Office The President and was established in 2015. The group will work closely with State House Spokesperson Kanze Dena who was appointed to the Presidential Strategic Communications Unit (PSCU) in June.

Hii yote ni uhiii …. just a waste of more tax payer money … very soon KRA will demand all employers to take all their money there … then KRA will determine what employees will be paid after taxing everything …. you know things are bad when even hookers increase their prices … they are calling it “itina + vat” …. everybody in this country is either mad, sick, hungry or both 3 of them …

So true. The wonder boy has no clue what he is president for. Gimmicks and PR will not get anything done. The most important people in the legacy team are spin doctors and politicians. What a shame.

There was a handshake team and now there is this team. Many teams have been formed but you never hear the outcome or conclusion. They just fade into darkness. Uhuru your big four is a great idea but too big at the same time without finances. Please stop borrowing! At this point all Kenyans want you to do is to deal with corruption- that’s it.

Woi to kui momnga’che … he is clearly not reading the mood of the nation, additional unnecessary cost on top of the common mwananchi who is already being taxed like hell. What is the cabinet for? how much are these goons being paid? I think they are just out of ideas and should just hand over the keys to Mutua or Kibwana to show them how it is done with less

So whats the purpose of the CS’s and presidential advisers? This redundancy is unbecoming. You go around begging for money only to create more expenditure. Preaching austerity while going on a spending spree is dishonest and contradictory. This sot is clueless and inept. You just can’t keep adding precious water to a leaking pot while making more holes on it and expect it to fill up. Kenya is like a fenceless livestock farm in the jungle. The hyenas are feeding on the animals and we keep leaving the decaying carcasses around enabling them to procreate faster, then we wonder why our farm is failing. And now our solution is to breed more lions to tackle the hyenas. Smfh

The broke government that is so broke than a Church mouse is hiring more useless highly earning staff. My guess is that each one of them will take home more than a million per month. Wanjiku be ready to pay more tax. Can a wise person advice Uhuru that he is spoiling his legacy by hiring all these useless people.

45? The kind of progress report he is talking about can be done by 2 people. One fellow and his assistant. With todays communication technology one can do alot in 8hours.Unfortunately these officials work 2hours aday abd play the rest.If we enforce accountability, these bloating of government would cease.
