You've No Authority to Lecture DP William Ruto, Jubilee Leaders Tell Raila

A section of leaders drawn from Jubilee Party have lashed out at Opposition leader Raila Odinga over his continued attacks on Deputy President William Ruto.

On Saturday, Odinga, who spoke in Siaya County, accused Ruto and leaders allied to him of engaging in premature campaigns for 2022, noting that it risks polarising the country.

However, speaking when they accompanied Ruto to a service at St Benedict Catholic Church in Thika, Kiambu county, the Jubilee leaders said Odinga has no authority to lecture Ruto on what to do.

“I want to tell Raila Odinga not to extend the confusion and wrangles that have made NASA to be in tatters to Jubilee, because we are organized as far as leadership is concerned,” said Senate Deputy Speaker Kithure Kindiki.

He added: “As Jubilee, we are not campaigning for 2022 or any other year but touring the grassroots to explore ways of addressing challenges facing the people as well as launching water, health, churches among other projects.”

Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu said Odinga was using his handshake with President Kenyatta to sink Jubilee’s boat.

“I know Raila Odinga than anyone else and can’t be trusted. He is banking on a referendum to amend the Constitution to create positions for people like him. But I want him to know that the President has said there will be no referendum, and that’s all,” said Waititu.

Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichung’wa said”I don’t know why Raila Odinga panics when William Ruto devolves the recent handshake to benefit all Kenyans at the grassroots.”

“We will not be intimidated by Raila who has already dismantled NASA. He is not the one to tell us what to do as far as the leadership of this country is concerned. We have faith in the leadership of President Kenyatta and the Deputy President,” he added.

Other leaders present included; Granton Samboja (Taita Taveta), Muthomi Njuki (Tharaka Nithi), deputy governor James Nyoro (Kiambu) and several other Jubilee MPs.

“I wish to ask the Deputy President to continue with his tours across the country in uniting Kenyans as well as focusing on the implementation of the Big Four agenda,” Governor Samboja said.

  1. Ruto has to go come 2022. …
Ruto has to go come 2022. Kenya must be born again. This will not be possible with a morally corrupt human being like Ruto!

Those supporting Ruto to be a president in 2022 are as corrupt as he is.
