Siaya County Assembly Adopts Motion Denouncing Uhuru Kenyatta's Presidency

Siaya County has become the first National Super Alliance-leaning county to adopt a motion denouncing Uhuru Kenyatta’s Presidency.

The County Assembly on Wednesday adopted the motion tabled by Central Sakwa Member of County Assembly (MCA) Johannes Andiego and members unanimously agreed to push for “secession of the region from oppressive regimes”.

Andiego said the declaration of Uhuru Kenyatta as President-elect in October 26th repeat election does not reflect the will of majority of Kenyans.

“Uhuru cannot be vested with sovereign powers of the public since he is not legitimately elected by all the people in the 47 counties,” he noted.

Andiego noted that Jubilee has “perfected the act of subverting the constitution by using draconian laws…to forcefully rule the public”.

“In our view, the August 8th and October 26 elections were invalid, null and void and no government was formed following the negligible voter turnout,” he said.

Central Alego MCA Leonard Oriaro said time for marginalized areas to redeem themselves from autocratic regime had come. “It is time for us to break the chains of the autocratic regime to ensure progressive revolution for our people,” he said, adding Kenya is in an “autocratic dispensation cycle”.

On his part, Siaya County Assembly Speaker George Okode vowed to push for the adoption of the recommendations in the motion and ensure Siaya residents re-claim what is legally theirs.

  2. The devolution finds…
The devolution finds supporting counties, come from National funds. The funds are drawn from taxes across the country. This NASA assembly must firstly refund and deny themselves such funds. A lawsuit must be filed to revoke their election under the Kenya 2010 constitution.

    • …and for this reason, some…
…and for this reason, some of my lakeside friends are investing elsewhere….some as far as Belize and Mombasa. One cited the insistence on a well known leader on getting a cut from his project.

  3. Good for them…
    Good for them.

Let the people decide who they want as their leaders.
Not a group of people deciding on behalf on all Kenyans.

Kenya is not Kenya without Luo Nyanza and Coast.

  4. These idiots denounce and…
These idiots denounce and denounce but at the end of the month they are lining up their dirty hands for wages paid for by rest of Kenya. At the end of the day money talks bull**** walks, spare us the nonsense, you all need a cut you know where so you can grow up.

  5. Cognitive dissonance ni kitu…
Cognitive dissonance ni kitu muhimu kuelewa. Hi mambo ya kuji-contradict mchana ukijiona, je kukiwa na giza. Can philosophers in the house explain this mindset; claiming elections we’re null, yet the officials are a product of the same. This is such extravagant absurdity!

  6. Why havent Weta and Mudavadi…
Why havent Weta and Mudavadi and the like not resigned from the fake elections. You morons, use your heads.
