3.3 billion shillings ($32.6 million) funding for humanitarian assistance has been donated to address drought in northern Kenya by the United States government.

Delivery of emergency food, nutrition, water, sanitation and hygiene services are some of services expected to be covered with the new relief.
Speaking during the World Humanitarian Assistance Day in Nairobi, US Ambassador to Kenya Robert F. We are working to save lives and to support Kenyan efforts to build resilience in the most vulnerable communities.”
