Kenyans on Twitter on Monday launched Turudi Kazini Challenge (#TurudiKaziniChallenge), sharing their excitement to resuming work after days of anxiety and tension sparked by the August 8th general election.
In an attempt to counter National Super Alliance leader Raila Odinga Sunday’s call to supporters to boycott work on Monday, Kenyans shared pictures of different parts of Nairobi and also other parts of the country showing that normalcy had returned, with most businesses from transport, banking to other sectors back to normal operation.
Photos of the usual notorious Nairobi traffic on Monday morning as most public service vehicles resumed duty were also shared.
This come days after some estates of the city were marred with protests from NASA supporters expressing their dissatisfaction with presidential election outcome announced on Friday.
Raila Odinga had called on his supporters to boycott work on Tuesday and instead wait on a big announcement from him on Tuesday on the next course of action following last Friday’s outcome of the presidential election, in which he lost to President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Using the hashtag #TurudiKaziniChallenge this is what KOT had to share.

Yes, let us defy this goon…
Yes, let us defy this goon and do the right thing to promote the economy. Parents with school age kids need to pay fees and Raila will not provide a cent if you fail to go to work. People also need money for food.
The tale of 2 Wolves:…
The tale of 2 Wolves:
One evening a grandfather told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people. He said, ‘My son, the battle is between two ‘wolves’ inside us all.
One is Evil. It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.
The other is good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith.’ The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather: ‘Which wolf wins?’. The old Cherokee simply replied, ‘The one you feed.’
Dear humanity, we may not choose what “wolf” our parents, friends, politicians feed, but we can choose the wolf to feed. Please reflect and choose wisely. Let us take ownership of our thoughts and actions.
Next steps: Moving forward, the government at all levels need appreciate the urgency to enhance literacy education for a literate society can read, understand and point out intellectual dishonesty of its members, and make responsible decisions on issues at hand. In addition, the development of moral character and consciousness imperative in building cohesion and sustainable development of our nation can be achieved through critical literacy.
Hahaha @mwangaza you made my…
Hahaha @mwangaza you made my day. Very wise ati which wolve wins? Just like y friend from El SalVador who always tells how humans should relate.
Sounds like high school days when few bad apples instigated other kids to strike without a sensible reason only to end up being suspended. Life has to go on if you miss work and get fired you will have to find another job. It’s not even worth it, a pain without gain.
