Raila Could Join Forces with Ruto in 2022, Oburu Odinga Says

Raila Odinga’s elder brother Oburu Odinga says the ODM leader is open to working with anyone in 2022, including Deputy President William Ruto.

Oburu, an East Africa Legislative Assembly (EALA) MP, said there is nothing that stops Raila from joining forces with Ruto, stating that the two have previously worked together.

He pointed out that Raila and Ruto only differ ideologically, which does not mean they are enemies.

“Raila and William Ruto are not enemies, what is there is just the differences in approach and policies. The formations which you’re seeing are just the beginning, many formations will come and if there is a need for them to come together, I don’t see anything that is blocking them,” Oburu said in an interview.

Oburu described Raila as the most suitable candidate to fly ODM’s flag in next year’s general elections, citing his vast political experience and the sacrifices he had made for the country.

He maintained that Odinga does not need the endorsement of President Kenyatta to win the 2022 presidential contest.

“Raila will not rely on Uhuru’s endorsement, how can he rely on his endorsement when he had won three times without Uhuru?” he posed.

Raila is yet to declare his bid for the country’s top seat in 2022 and insists that his focus at the moment is the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI).

Here we go again. A political prostitute in action. This man Raila is the evil that has held Kenya in cycles of violence and chaos for more than 40 years. He is supposed to have won every election that he lost. And if he doesn’t win, then, the election is stolen. With his buddy Ruto, they burned innocent kikuyus arrive in a house of God in their rapacity for power. If you want progress in Kenya from this man, just look at Nyanza, look at Langata, where he was MP for 21 year- that is how much progress you gonna get from Raila. His democracy is all about corruption (paid MCAs Sh2million each for BBI), payoffs, threats and blackmails. Look at his signature achievement, county governments; its a cesspool of devolved corruption-pandemic that has spread throughout the nation.

    • You say Raila and Ruto…
You say Raila and Ruto burned Kikuyus. So guess who has been going to his vomit? Kikuyus via Uhuru. First it was Ruto the Vomit for Jubilee; and now it’s Raila the Vomit for BBI. This shows how Greedy??? and Users??? you Kikuyus are.

  2. When Kenyans will wake up…
When Kenyans will wake up from their stuffer, they will stop doing these things:

    1. Vote for someone based on tribe of origin.
    2. Vote for the same people over and over and expect to get different results.
3.Vote and encourage stupid ideas like the one this week of MPigs going to some country to study about reducing BODA BODA accidents. Really? If they want to stop boda boda accidents, come out with better laws from within Kenya and enforce the law and if the Mpigs and the department of Transportation cannot come with ideas, vote them out of office mara moja. What is this stupid idea of copy and paste everything foreign. Why do we have universities in Kenya? That is a projects the universities can do and present o these idiots.

    4. There are many more things but let’s just start with the basics.

I say this, Kenyans are tired of recycling the same politicians from the 80s and 90s. Let us go for fresh ideas. Anybody in politics before the inception of the internet MUST go.

  3. This BBI really amounts to a…
This BBI really amounts to a political stunt for the 2022 election cycle. There are those that mistakenly/wrongly think that if they win the BBI referendum, it will put them in a favorable position for the 2022 election cycle. The problem is that, BBI is a constitutional amendment, and the effects of it could last long after 2022 has gone. BBI is designed to benefit just a few political individuals, while its damages (of increased taxation/corruption/national debt and waste of public funds) affect the whole nation and potentially for a very long time. The best way forward is to reject this BBI in the referendum. Thus head into the 2022 election under the 2010 constitution.
