NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga reacted to the ruling by the Court of Appeal that upheld the decision by High Court that presidential results announced at the constituency level will be final.

Speaking during a campaign rally in Bungoma County on Friday, the former Prime Minister said that the ruling has spelt hope for Kenya, telling residents that they had blocked all avenues that the Jubilee administration was planning to use in rigging the upcoming elections.

Raila said that this time round, Jubilee will not be able to manipulate the outcome of elections in President Uhuru Kenyatta’s favor, as rogue IEBC officials will not be able to alter elections results at the national tallying Centre as it has been in the past.

“Today we have made a huge step towards sending Jubilee home because the Court of Appeal has affirmed that IEBC should not change results from constituencies. The trick of Jubilee to rig in the polls will not prevail this time round. They will go home in August,” said Odinga.

IEBC had moved to the appeal court to contest an earlier decision by the High Court which ruled that results at the polling stations be final, arguing that it was the mandate of the commission’s chair to verify results from the constituency before announcing them.

Kalonzo Musyoka, who accompanied Rail to the Bungoma campaign trail, said that it was time to send the Jubilee administration home, adding that they will not be able to rig in the August 8 elections.

“We must all unite to send home Jubilee. They are thieves. You can imagine a government that have stolen money and everything until now they are stealing even food,” said the Wiper Party leader amid cheers from the charged crowd in Tongaren.

  1. “We have blocked all rigging…
    “We have blocked all rigging avenues!”. That means of Jubilee is declared winner, you will concede. Right? It is laughable when a thief call another thief a thief. Raila, Kalonzo, Wetangula, Mudavadi and Ruto; you have all previously rapped Kenya and even interestingly, you have not delivered on a single development project. Rhetoric aside, tell Kenyan what you will do for them. We do not want lies anymore.

  2. Good news yes. The problem…
    Good news yes. The problem is with NASA’s hawkish behaviour and bid to take power at any cost, they might have some of their thugs to announce fake election outcomes and cause chaos when disputed.
    Not sure if the court considered all potential factors that might lead to more problems than good or just decided in favour of the opposition.

    In most cases the opposition have advisors who help them to arm twist the existing systems not because they do not work but to create opportunity that works to their advantage, such as cause trouble when their rigging fails.

    Hope the court also provides a legal framework so that the skimmers on their side do not have room to manipulate the counting and announce fake results and lead to chaos that could have been avoided in the first place.

    Please install cameras in voting and tallying centers to support security in monitoring the exercise.

    • I personally believe that…
      I personally believe that Jubilee will win because Jubilee has the votes and the numbers.The question is;will Nasa accept defeat? If Raila looses and refuses to accept the results saying rigging, what then?If Fake results are announced how will the country address that problem?Will the courts/including the supreme court be able to handle all the issues that come up in a timely fashion?In other words, will the center be able to hold sufficiently during the trying electioneering period.Will peace and civil order be well maintained? Will the Good People in the Country both in Nasa and Jubilee stand up and say NO to the forces of chaos and disorder at every level of the society? May we always have Peace in Kenya.

        • @Guest.I guess that is where…
          @Guest.I guess that is where you and me disagree.I believe that Jubilee will WIN the election because we have the numbers and the votes.May the elections be free and fair.May the losers accept defeat.May there always be PEACE in Kenya.

    • “To take power at all cost”…
      “To take power at all cost” is different from “To save Kenya from the THIEVING Duo” that is UhuRuto.

  3. Well spoken MWANGAZA, i’m…
    Well spoken MWANGAZA, i’m very sure that’s the plan for NASA , just wait and see.

  4. I think about a poem written…
    I think about a poem written in 1919.By Poet William Byre.My understanding of the poem is that it is a call to motivate All Good People to do their Part in maintain Peace in their surroundings/their environment………………..Here is the first stanza of the Poem……………………………………………………………….>>>>>>>>
    Turning and turning in the widening gyre
    The falcon cannot hear the falconer;
    Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
    Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
    The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
    The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
    The best lack all conviction, while the worst
    Are full of passionate intensity.

  5. Good. For the first time…
    Good. For the first time Kenyans can enjoy a free and fair election thanks to Raila. Hopefully no one will be out in the streets protesting a stolen election in August.
