Former Malawi first lady Anne Chidzira Muluzi has died in Nairobi, Kenya.
She passed away on Tuesday night while undergoing treatment at Aga Khan Hospital where she had been admitted for a while.
In a statement, the Office of the President and Cabinet of Malawi said Muluzi died at the Nairobi-based hospital following a long battle with cancer.
“The office of the president and cabinet regrets to announce the passing of Madam Anne Chidzira Muluzi former first lady of the Republic of Malawi. She died on Tuesday 28th December 2021 at Aga Khan hospital in Nairobi Kenya after a long battle with cancer” reads the statement signed by Secretary to the President and Cabinet Zangazanga Chikhosi.
Details of the funeral arrangements and repatriation of the body will be announced in due course, the statement added.
Muluzi was the wife of former President Bakili Muluzi, who ruled the Southern Africa nation between 1994 and 2004.

She is a former First Lady probably paying out of her own pocket had she still been in govt she could have been treated in the UK USA and lately Dubai because MPIG behavior is not unique to Kenya.Not that she sees Kenya worthy more like that is what she could afford.RIP
