Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka has urged President Kenyatta and opposition leader Raila Odinga to hang their political boots following the famous March 9th handshake.
Speaking when he attended the burial ceremony of Wiper party elections controller in Mwingi and businessman Paul Mutemi on Saturday, Musyoka said it was time for the two to bow out of political arena to allow others contest for the presidency.
“Have you seen the peace that has reigned in the country since the handshake?”Musyoka asked.
He continued: “The Jaramogi and Kenyatta families’ fight started way back. I think their fathers are happy wherever they are and that’s why we have the peace we always want.”
The former Vice President defended Raila against claims that he joined Jubilee after the handshake with Kenyatta, insisting that he’s still a Nasa leader.
“That was just a mere handshake. Raila is in Nasa. The four principals are still together. Let people on social media stop criticising the deal.”
Citing Raila’s decision to work with President Uhuru, Kalonzo wondered why he was called watermelon for skipping the mock swearing in on January 30th.
“Aha, people are funny, they called me watermelon but I am here to tell you that you are the seeds of the watermelon. Am I not better than you?” he asked.
“The water is still settling since from the handshake, things have turned to be better,” Kalonzo said.
He asked both Uhuru and Odinga to endorse his 2022 presidential bid since, “this is his time and God’s wish is that I must contest and win.”

Kalonzo, for once you are right. Kenya need new generation to guide it. Kenyatta, Odinga, Moi,Kalonzo, Watengula, Mudavadi, and all those who have guided the country since Independence need to leave. The country has stalled. You and all your kind need to leave. The country cannot change your thinking so what the country needs is to change you and the likes of you and follow a new path. You and all your kind need to shelf your ambitions. We have tested your ambitions and they are no longer useful to Kenyans.
