Political Leaders Are Closer to God Because They are Sinners, Esther Passaris Says

Nairobi Woman Representative Esther Passaris claims that political leaders are closer to God because they are “sinners.”

Passaris, who was responding to a Twitter user who wondered why Deputy President William Ruto associates himself with God despite being involved in what he termed as “devilish thingd”, said Jesus died for the sinners and that is why most politicians are “closer” to God.

Twitter user Hon. Wilson Ogweno wrote: “You [DP Ruto] can not lean on God’s side wickedly doing devilish things really! Kenyans are awake.”

In response, Passaris noted: “Jesus died for the sinners. If leaders sin, they’re closer to God than you know.”

She added that becoming a politician amounts to “joining sinners” so as to be seen by God.

“By the way, you use the title honorable, I assume you shall be joining the sinners soon so God can see you too?” Passaris added.

Passaris further noted that the values and character of both the voters and leaders are similar.

“Values and Character are constants in voters as there are in leaders. We are no more or less.”

  1. Yeah, why don’t we all sin…
Yeah, why don’t we all sin and get closer to God. What are the best sins out there to try out?

You can heist dam money or Msando people as much as you want or better yet you can leave them hanging on the edge by shooting them in the neck. I believe there is a whole menu somewhere in the Bible. As long as you are a politician in Kenya, you will walk scott free.

  2. MMmmm, I thought one is…
MMmmm, I thought one is closer to God by doing good needs,or at least staying closer to obeying what the Ten Commandments say. Are we not all sinners? From my understanding from those who follow the Son of Mariamu as Imara Daina would put it,do not distinguish between sins. Asin is a sin. There is no ” weighted average”. If I have an affair with my neighbor’s wife,I have sinned just as much as if I had stolen one cent. By the way,I am not planning to canoodle with my neighbor’s wife.Iam not in Texas @Guest 1

@Maxiley,Passaris theory is the more you sin and repent, the closer to God you get. You do not have to work very hard to avoid sinning because you will be forgiven no matter what.
Such theory throws out integrity, empathy, compassion and other humanity basics out the window. Even animals in the wild behave better.
And what happened to Imara btw?

What Passasis has said has no basis in the God I think she is referring to, unless of course she follows another God. The problem with her theory is that one never knows when they will check out.It makes all the sense to do good, and prepared, just in case of untimely departure. With Passasis theory, one could be check out in between mounting a malaya, with looted cash, and thus with no time to repent,But she being a politician, she knows them better. Birds of the same feathers…
As for Imara Daima, I miss his comments.I hope he is well and just taking a hiatus. And just because we ask, please dont try to impersonate him. There is only one Imara Daima.

        • Hahaha have to agree there…
Hahaha have to agree there can only be one Imara with one Kiswahili sanifu.

I think this woman’s Spinal surgery in India affected Nerves to her Brains and damaged her way of Thinking. She has become a No-brainer.

    • Hujambo Imara Daima…
Hujambo Imara Daima. Nashukuru kusikia upo na uko salama salimini na bukheri wa afya. Kimya chako cha karibu miaka miwili nafikiri bila shaka kiliipa nakara hii ya Mwakilishi kishindo kikuu. Kusimangwa, kutetezwa, kukashifiwa, kutaniwa, kudhihakiwa, kukomazwa, kudunishwa, wala kushutumiwa kusikuwekee kitoweo chako mchanga, if you know whatta I mean. Dunia hii nikujikakamua ili uweze kuelea majini.

  6. Does Passaris want to mean…
Does Passaris want to mean if you sin you get closer to God? My question to her: how about if you don’t sin? Do you draw farther from God? Aren’t you encouraging corruption (sin) by claiming thieves get closer to God after looting the public coffers? I’d argue they get closer yes, not to God but to God’s judgment that gets them sooner or later.

  7. Does Passaris mean we should…
Does Passaris mean we should sin to get closer to God? My question to her: How about those who don’t sin do they get far from God? When people, including her colleagues steal and plunder public resources, do they do that to get closer to God? Are you telling us we are led by filthy leaders? Is corruption the way to getting closer to God? Isn’t the statement meant to encourage sinfulness? What doctrine is this? Yes, I think they (sinners) get closer, not to God, but to God’s judgement and to their father, the devil.
