Kenya to Offer Immediate Passports for Overseas Job Applicants

Public Service CS Moses Kuria has disclosed that to enhance the connection between NYS servicemen and international job opportunities, their educational program will be adjusted to meet the current demands of the job market.

According to the CS, the National Youth Service will have a vital function in sending out skilled workers from Kenya. By collaborating with more than 200 Technical and Vocational Training Centers, every unit of NYS will act as a Skills Verification Center, guaranteeing that individuals possess the essential skills needed by the countries they are headed to. These new initiatives follow Ruto’s declaration that NYS would transform, allowing all Kenyans to undergo their training before securing government job placements.

“An Express Passport Issuance Centre will be opened at the NYS Head Office in Ruaraka exclusively dedicated to serving foreign-bound NYS Service men and women as we strive to get 1 Million Current, former, and future servicemen and women jobs abroad by 2026,” Says Kuria.

Additionally, NYS will also benefit from technical jobs offered by foreign countries including Israel. Ruto explained that negotiations are underway with Germany, Saudi Arabia, and eight other countries to export Kenyan labour. According to the Kenya Kwanza administration, NYS will serve as the primary organization for pre-deployment training. This training will equip Kenyans with the knowledge and understanding of their responsibilities as labourers exported from Kenya.

“The National Youth Service will be the key driver to exporting Human Capital from Kenya. All our 22 units will be linked to over 200 Technical and Vocational Training Centres to provide a national network of Skills Verification Centers for fit-for-purpose skills development in partnership with destination countries,” the CS clarifies.

The majority of recruits in organizations like KDF, Kenya Police, Kenya Forest Service, and KWS, will be sourced from the National Youth Service, accounting for approximately 80% of their total workforce.

“To use the NYS as the incubator, the National Security Council has decided that going forward 80% of all security recruitment will be from the National Youth Service. All those in the KDF, Kenya Police, Kenya Forest Service, KWS…80% will be from the National Youth Service recruits,” he says.

The only advantage of this plan is that come 2027 when this youth discover they have been duped they will vote out this tax addicted government that is those who make it back home without ending up as undocumented unaccounted for immigrants once their work papers expire .

    • This is just another Ruto…
This is just another Ruto promise. Don’t they have to fix the printers first. I’m thinking they might as well take the Trump route and have passport/jobs week, diaspora week, infrastructure week and anti corruption week on a rolling four week cycle so we can prep for it

  2. You know you have a useless…
You know you have a useless fake government when you send your able bodied folks to build other economies instead of creating jobs for them. This is PHD level stupidity. Unmatched .

Human trafficking seems to be legal in Kenya.

Unfortunately it’s illegal around the world.

  4. Elimu inayotolewa shuleni…
Elimu inayotolewa shuleni siku hizi haina maana yoyote kwa wanafynzi. Kwa nini? Haiwafundidhi wanafunzi KKK (Kufikiri Kwa Kina) au CT (Critical Thinking) kwa Kiingereza.
