President William Ruto has unveiled a four-point strategy to reduce the high cost of living.

Speaking during an interdenominational service in Kajiado on Sunday, the Head of State said he will first work to tackle the disappearance of Kenya’s harvests from reserves due to theft. Ruto added that the government is working on building small markets in different parts of the country to facilitate trade. Additionally, Ruto conveyed governments plan to help farmers by aggregating, adding value, processing and manufacturing their products, thus increasing their revenue.

Lastly, Ruto is pushing to create more job opportunities for young people. He noted that many people are unhappy with the high cost of living, yet they don’t understand what has triggered the same.

“You have seen some people discuss the high cost of living till they put on cooking pans on their heads. These people are not telling us how putting a cooking pan on the head is going to help lower the high cost of living. It is just that they don’t understand. So we have a plan on what to do,” he said.

Ruto’s administration has come under heavy censure following the soaring prices of basic commodities. However, the President has promised to help ease the cost of living. Speaking on Sunday, Isiolo Governor Abdi Hassan Guyo urged the opposition to give Kenya Kwanza a chance to demonstrate its effectiveness.

He expressed his confidence that President William Ruto will have delivered on his promises within three years. He further praised Ruto for his call for a new financial system which encourages environmentally-friendly development. Guyo believes that Ruto should be given the time to make good on his promises.

Is it because you’ve surrounded yourself with the worst corrupt politicians in the country, and are keeping them happy by keeping the judges and prosecutors away from them??
Also, if the county’s too broke to give subsidies to the poor in form of food items, or stipends to purchase food, where are you getting the money from for all your travels??
Where did you find Ksh 1billion for state house entertainment? Or Ksh 200million for Gachagua??
