Eldas MP Adan Keynan, a representative in Kenya Kwanza Bi-partisan talks, has disputed claims of Kenya Kwanza forcing his exit from the committee assigned to dialogue with Azimio La Umoja troops.
President Ruto’s camp has since been in conflict with the Azimio coalition following the inclusion of Keynan in the talks. Azimio leader Raila Odinga has been vocal in reaffirming that Keynan’s participation is in bad faith since his Jubilee party is allied to Azimio La Umoja.
Keynan has disclosed that his exit comes in a bid to avoid Azimio’s heavy intimidation.
“I withdrew from the negotiations to bring to light the true nature of the Azimio team to Kenyans. For the talks to be productive, they must adhere to parliamentary procedures and be grounded in logic. Our aim is to safeguard against any form of coercion or intimidation from the Azimio team,” said Keynan.
His withdrawal from the 7-member delegation has coaxed Azimio leaders to call off protest in view of giving dialogue a chance.
