Mai Mahiu-Narok Highway Closed After Crack Cuts Along the Road

The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) has announced the temporary closure of the Mai Mahiu-Narok Highway.

In a statement on Sunday, KeNHA said the busy highway was closed following the discovery of a severe crack six kilometers from Mai Mahiu town.

The agency pointed out that the crack cuts across the road, making it dangerous for motorists to use.

KeNHA said the cause of the crack could not be immediately established though preliminary reports attribute it to the ongoing rains.

Further, the area has in the past been affected by similar earth movements.

As KeNHA embarks on restoration works in the affected area, all road users plying the Mai Mahiu-Narok route are advised to use the following alternative routes.

· Narok – Kisiriri – Mau Summit – Njoro turn off (B18) Road, to join Nakuru and other destinations.

·     Narok – Bomet – Kaplong (B6) Road and connect to Kaplong – Kericho (B7) Road.

Africa will be broken up into several parts with new oceans by Mother Nature, slowly but surely, in several centuries!

Maai Mahiu, Naivasha and area surrounding Mt Longonot sit on 20 to 30 meters of very soft volcanic ash which is easily eroded and has a tendency to “flow” with the slightest earth movement. Let’s consider these factors before jumping to wild speculation.

At the rate at which sea levels are rising courtesy of global warming, Africa will not need a crack in the mantle to create a new ocean.

KeNHA waache uongo. That road was constructed on a SAND RIVER COURSE which never changes.Narok town itself is also affected. The findings were conclusion of a Germany company which declined to repair that road in early 1980s @2b.They instead told the Moi gang to relocate the road to pass through Ngong town at the same cost but Moi gang insisted on the same route. They had opened another ATM.Only DEFILER/RAPIST Sunkuri is alive but the ATM PIN #s changes with succeeding corrupt ERAs.RISASI TU.

Nothing new here.Geologists have known this for ages. The heat from deep in the planet’s core drives the movement of the plate tectonics that control the movement of the continents and cause these cracks.Yet more proof that man made climate change could be affecting the earth’s core.
