Kenya and the United States have reiterated their commitment to working together to promote durable solutions including peacebuilding efforts.
The deliberations happened during a bilateral meeting between Kenya’s Foreign and Diaspora Affairs Cabinet Secretary Alfred Mutua and US Secretary of State Antony Blinken in Washington, DC, on Tuesday.
During their engagement, the two leaders lauded the prime cooperation existing between the two countries which is founded on mutual trust, friendship, and shared interests.

“We’re committed to supporting U.S. investment in Kenya – particularly in key sectors like information and communications technologies, agriculture, renewable energy – which will help Kenya achieve its goal of reaching upper-middle income status by 2030, while creating jobs and opportunity for people in both our countries,” Blinked said.
On his part, Mutua noted that Kenya is open for business, adding that the country is well placed in the African continent to be a hub for American investors.
Later, CS Mutua co- chaired the third iteration of the US-Kenya Strategic Dialogue during which both countries committed to further increase two-way trade and investment through the Kenya-US Strategic Trade and Partnership and by prioritizing economic and commercial programs.
