President Ruto Donates Sh5 Million to Offset Catherine Kasavuli's Medical Bill and Burial Expenses

President Ruto has cleared the Sh4 million medical bill accrued during the treatment of the late veteran news anchor Catherine Kasavuli at Kenyatta National Hospital and The Nairobi Hospital.

During an event held at the United Kenya Club in Nairobi, the fundraiser committee announced that the president had donated a total of Sh5 million in support of Kasavuli’s final journey.

“Our one and only President and Commander in Chief has dispatched one million shillings in support of the programs ahead of the burial of our sister Catherine Kasavuli. Apart from that he has also committed to clear the outstanding medical pending bill in the hospital,” the message read.

Nairobi senator Edwin Sifuna, who attended the fundraiser, assured the family that they would walk the journey together in the final send-off of the former KBC, KTN and Citizen TV news anchor.

“She was a very consummate person, a beautiful face on TV. I loved her smile. To the family, am sorry for the loss and I assure you that we will walk in this journey together,” Sifuna said.

Kasavuli’s family had earlier appealed to Kenyans to help them raise funds to settle Sh4 million medical bills accrued during her treatment.

“At the time of her passing away, she had accrued a cumulative hospital bill of Sh4 million, being bills at both Kenyatta National Hospital and The Nairobi Hospital. We anticipate further bills at the funeral home and costs of interment which, which cost we can’t estimate now,” her son Martin Kasavuli said.

Kasavuli, 60, died on December 29th while undergoing treatment at Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) where she was admitted on October 26th after being diagnosed with cervical cancer.

She will be laid to rest on January 14th at her home in Zululu, Vihiga County.

All the peoples conman does is thieving, never helps the humanity! What a narcissist

  2. Ruto as a christian, would…
Ruto as a christian, would it not be best for him to give without blowing his trumpet so to speak? Infact, the problem with broadcasting yourself when you donate is that you set yourself up for target. Now people will expect you to do better in your future donations, and without prejudice. All these could be avoided by unanimous donations.
Right now amother of conjoined twins is seeking assistance from public for medical bills accrued at KNH.My question is , shouldn’t we have a awell coordinated solution to this problem instead of relying on public mercy?
