President Ruto, Nark-Kenya leader Martha Karua, and Chief Justice Martha Koome are among Kenyans featured in the 2023 list of the 100 most reputable Africans.

The list released by Reputation Poll International, a leading global reputation firm, features individuals from diverse sectors including governance, human rights, education, entertainment, and business.  The selection criteria are integrity, impact and visibility.

Ruto was featured in the Governance and Policy category alongside Malawi’s President Lazarus Chakwera and Senator Chantal Moussokoura Fanny of Ivory Coast, amongst others.

In the Human Rights Advocacy category, Chief Justice of Kenya Prof. Martha Koome and Nigeria’s Aisha Yesufu are featured.

Other Kenyans on the list include Kenya’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Amb. Martin Kimani, Central Bank of Kenya Governor Patrick Ngugi Njoroge, Wanjiru Kamau-Rutenberg (Executive Director at Rise, a project by Schmidt), and former Foreign Affairs Cabinet Secretary Amina Mohamed.

The 100 Most Reputable Africans list is aimed at recognizing and celebrating the achievements of individuals making a positive impact in Africa and worldwide. These individuals serve as role models and inspire others to follow in their footsteps.

In addition to the individuals recognized on Reputation Poll International’s “100 Most Reputable Africans” list for their various achievements, there are also those who are celebrated for their contributions to social impact and social entrepreneurship, helping to transform businesses in Africa and positively impacting lives without causing controversy.

Ethiopia President Sahle Work-Zedwe, former Liberia President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, former Nigeria President Goodluck Jonathan, and South Africa’s University of the Free State Chancellor Professor Bonang Mohale.

Other notable inclusions on the list are former Mozambique President Joaquim Chissano, Cameroonian author and lecturer Professor Joseph-Achille Mbembe, football coach and agent Wilfried Mbappé who is the father of high-flying French football star Kylian Mbappé, and former South Africa Chief Justice Mogoeng Mogoeng.

  1. What positive impact is…
What positive impact is there in grabbing land and hosing down school children like cattle in a cattle dip when they protest or even showing up to pay respects in a funeral where you are the suspected killer .A supposed former sports minister booked her own daughter and family on a flight majuu and left Omanyala supposedly Africa’s fastest man to sort himself out yet he is the one who was going to compete. The author or whoever compiled this list did no research and is chasing clout.Positive impact in Africa my foot .

    • The only known positive…
The only known positive impact is Raila’s killing 1300(99% AGikuyu) for supporting Kibaki plus thousands more with poisonous maize and methanol on top of grabbing molasses plant land and 500000 acres in Lamu.I also read somewhere that Ihuru has been awarded for looting shs 228b COVID loans.

  2. Its good they compare rotten…
Its good they compare rotten potatoes with other rotten potatoes. I guess he reputable due to the level of corruption.

    • I wish you could prove to us…
I wish you could prove to us the corruption you are talking about.

  3. For those who follow boxing,…
For those who follow boxing, there was a time when only only two boxing organizations ruled. The WBA,and the WBC.This meant that to be called a champion, one had to truly earn that title.
Today, the number of organizations running the boxing world are countless…
What does this have to do with the article, you ask? Number one, Poll international firm has to justify their existence.Secondly, that’s how they earn their living. When you have to deal with a number of people, that means that you have to have alot to write about. And it turn, alot to write about usually translates in to cash.
To me, these polls would be more reputable if they had to select only “winner” in each category.Having many winners waters down the importance.
