President Ruto Warns Raila Against Staging Violent Street Demonstrations

President Ruto has warned the opposition against staging violent demonstrations to oppose the removal of the four IEBC commissioners who disowned the results of the August 9th presidential election.

This comes a day after Azimio La Umoja One Kenya coalition leader Raila Odinga announced they will hold countrywide public rallies from Wednesday to engage Kenyans on the bid to oust the four commissioners namely Juliana Cherera, Irene Masit, Francis Wanderi and Justus Nyang’aya.

“This regime is trying to send home the commissioners who stood firm on the platform of the truth and this is not acceptable. The people of Kenya are not going to accept it. These people stole the elections and we cannot accept that on top of that, they send away these other commissioners and impose on Kenyans a user-friendly commission to them,” Odinga said in Kisumu.

On Monday, President Ruto welcomed criticism from the opposition but warned that street demonstrations may have a negative impact on the country’s economy.

“I want to tell our brothers in the opposition to work with us and criticise whatever they want to criticise, but let’s keep the country peaceful. We want to do our job and we want the opposition to do their job, but they should do it peacefully,” Ruto said during an opening ceremony for a Twiga Foods distribution facility at Tatu City in Ruiru, Kiambu County.

The president implored Odinga not to turn Kenyans against each other, saying the opposition leader’s “street fights work for nobody, not even for them.”

“I do not think organizing demonstrations and getting Kenyans to do the things they want to do is part of holding any government to account.  want to encourage them not to hold Kenyans against one another. Street demonstrations and street fights should not be part of the script of any responsible opposition, unless they want to be a dictatorial opposition,” he added.

The National Assembly Justice and Legal Affairs Committee is currently hearing the four ouster petitions filed against the four IEBC officials.

The Lord of violence, chaos and poverty! The peoples conman, narcissist!

  2. 33 counties are drought…
33 counties are drought stricken. Ruto should know he’s in a third world country.

He should also leave Raila & those IEBC Commissioners alone and go beg for food from developed countries.

  3. Uhuru cannot chair the Congo…
Uhuru cannot chair the Congo peace talks while financing muuaji Raila’s slaughter of Kenyans which starts on Nov,30th,2022.All I know is that it will be muchawi’s last violence as his worshippers won’t save him from facing the ICC.

  4. Ruto: You used to do rallies…
Ruto: You used to do rallies even after your boss had banned all gatherings due to Covid. If you did it against an order from your President, why is a peaceful demonstration bothering you and it’s a constitutional right to hold demonstrations? C’mon man!

Kamande kwani TU-LANDROVER ya ZINAA Inakusua?Ama labda wewe ata hunjui Kenya.Or maybe savage Raila has recruited you in his death mission. You can be one of his victims. But he won’t be lucky this time.

  5. The demonstrators should go…
The demonstrators should go straight to the state house with one clear goal of removing Ruto from the presidency by force if need be. It has happened in namy other African countries, in Venezuela, etc.

Ruto is not a demigod that the masses cannot keep sustained pressure to remove him. He will is illegally in office through a Koome stolen election, and its time for him to be forcefully removed.

  6. Ruto has already turned…
Ruto has already turned Kenyans against each other by peddling the fake bottom up lies for many years. Ruto is just harvesting what he planned since Moi days.

The economy is already dead so demos will not be the cause of a broken economy and country. Let Kenyans agitate for the kind of government they want to have. Maybe they can have the opportunity to elect a new president in one year’s time. Shenzi hawa wajinga!
