Raila Wants the Supreme Court to Declare Him President-Elect

Azimio La Umoja-One Kenya coalition presidential candidate Raila Odinga has expressed confidence that the Supreme Court will declare him president-elect.

Speaking on Wednesday in Mombasa where he drummed up support for ODM gubernatorial candidate Abdulswamad Nassir, Odinga noted that a repeat presidential election may not be held as the apex court will find that he won the August 9th election.

Odinga, who has filed a petition challenging the results of the presidential election, pointed out that his legal team will expose massive electoral malpractices and how the election was rigged in favor of president-elect William Ruto.

“Kama vile mama Martha amesema, kesi iko mahakamani kwa hivyo hatuwezi kuongea juu yake, lakini wakianza kule, mawakili wetu watatoa ushahidi,” Raila said.

“Tunataka mahakama iseme kwamba sisi ndio tulishinda, na hii ndio ukweli, tulishinda na badala ya kurudi kwa uchaguzi tena, tutanganzwe washindi twende tukakule kiapo.”

At the same time, Odinga hit out at IEBC Chairperson Wafula Chebukati, claiming that he pocketed a huge bribe in order to announce skewed results.

“Na hiyo commission iko na wanachama saba, sita hawakuwa pale, yeye amekwenda pale peke yake kwa kuwa alikuwa ameshapewa hongo kubwa,” he added.

He further demanded that Chebukati recuses himself from the eight elections slated for Monday and allow IEBC Vice Chairperson Juliana Cherera to take charge.

“Chebukati should disqualify himself from the elections ili haki iweze kutendeka hapa, ajiondoe kwenye hii uchaguzi inayoendelea, aawachie wale hawana mapendeleo. Tunasema ya kwamba uchaguzi wa Mombasa na Kakamega utafanywa chini ya usimamizi wa naibu wa mwenyekiti wa IEBC, Juliana Cherera…” added Odinga.

This great country will be free from the peoples conman whenever the peoples conman bites the dust and forever buried with all the shenanigans! Is 80 years old the new 100 years?!? Oh Lorde

  2. If this guy will NOT respect…
If this guy will NOT respect democracy now that he is not in power, what manner of despotic shenanigans would he do if he were in power. Democracy in Kenya would be in serious problem if this guy were ever in Power. The supreme court, which is a product of Democracy, should seriously consider this thought. The time to defeat him is NOW. SCOK should Not allow him to continue to subvert democracy and the will of the people.

Raila is the epitome of truth and democracy. You wouldn’t have a Kenya to go back to if it were not for this man and other brave men and women who you would probably misconstrue because you base your argument on tribalism that was taught to you as a young tot. It’s so unfortunate, it must be a mystery to you how a majority of Kenyan, respect, love and heed him. Remove the veil of tribalism from your eyes and these things will start making sense to you.

  3. The High court should…
The High court should declare him president as a lesson to all electoral fraudsters.

Also, IEBC officials who were part of the rigging should be sent to jail.

As a lesson to all those who have planned or plan to rig elections.

  4. It should declare him…
It should declare him president to serve as a lesson to all manipulators of elections globally.

  5. raila- you just told Mombasa…
raila- you just told Mombasa people you are the “president elect!” Why are you asking anyone else to do that which your empty head has determined. I pity this man and doubt whether his faculties are there- why are you wasting your tired live travelling to mombasa shouting for a candidate for governor when you have lost the 5th time? What value is it to you who gets elected now that your political life is over- over that you will never see yourself elected president. All these people shouting in front of you are there for pay/ free ride to nominations/ election and care less if you got elected. You now have more “lawyers” than voters- why? pay-pay they want to suck the last drop of financial blood from you and your family- Kindly go home and reconcile with your god/s. Your running mate- one who could not win a cattle dip position- could not win her polling station is shouting at Mombasa people to come out and vote- how about your own home? You have no shame and still following baba around like a leech- you have no political value to anyone- you are a parasite!

  6. But this was not requested…
But this was not requested in his appeal to the Supreme Court. If you add this to Kioni’s public statement on rigging, again that was not in the appeal to the SC, you see a confused set of leaders. All they want is power thru the front or back doors. This is a power seeking coalition, that has no interest with the country. There are no Saints in UDA, but Azimio need to be truthful to Kenyans.

Calm down RAO, the supreme court hasn’t even perused the documents you gave them. Please note that Ruto also has his defense. So let’s be patient and see what the courts will come up with. You seem to be so confident that the court will rule in your favor.Should this not be the case are you going to say that the supreme court is in error,or omitted relevant documents…or some other excuse?

  8. This man Raila is not and…
This man Raila is not and will never be Presidential material. Raila has no respect for both our constitution and institutions.
    Raila makes very irresponsible statements.
If there were ” Massive electoral malpractices” that means the whole 9th August election including Governors, Mp’s, Senators and MCA’s. All these were elected in ” Massive electrol malpractice and therefore all their elections must be null and void.
This means that if Presidential election is nullified based on Raila’s argument all other elections that were conducted using the same process and procedures must be nullified.
Raila, if the case is in Supreme Court na ” hatuwezi kuongea juu yake” kwanini wee unaongea?
According to Raila, ” Wafula Chebukati pocketed a huge bribe…results”
Raila needs to prove his statements in a court of law. This is character defamation and assassination by a very irresponsible candidate and should not be allowed to happen.
Raila demanded that Chebukati recuses himself from eight elections slated for Monday. If this is to be done, all elections done on August 9th by the same person, Chebukati must be declared null and void.
Kenya has been following a mad man for 40 years. This will be our history for years to come.
” Ee mungu nguvu yetu “!!!

Hmmm let’s be real for a minute. Baba say’s he worn the election and he wants to be declared president but the same election according to him has/had “massive electoral malpractices”. How now does he want the same election with massive malpractices used to declare him a winner?. malpractices= null and void. No winner! Shenanigans just started Again!

If SC disappoints RAO, he’ll have lost more times that he can count in reverse. it’s a sobriety and reality check. When you find yourself in a hole the rule of thumb is stop digging, congratulate the winner and disappear to “spend more time with family”, aka retire.

Kenya Kwanza cool your horses… You’re panicking too much and it’s showing. Hehehehhe. Some people are asking some crazy questions up here smh. Yaani you guys were really fixated on Ruto winning hadi understanding basic English statements has become impossible for you? Heheheehhe

Die already. Notorious conman. We can’t wait for your permanent departure conman. Elections are over for Kenyans. We got one of the two evils. Kenyans should do better that these two cons. Over for now. Go away and stay gone. You had your chance and you lost. Go away.
