Confessed Serial Killer Masten Wanjala Lynched by Mob, Days After Escaping from Police Custody

Confessed child serial killer Masten Milimo Wanjala has been beaten to death by an irate mob at Mukhweya village in Bungoma County.

This comes barely two days after the 20-year-old suspect escaped from police custody under mysterious circumstances.

Confirming the incident, Bungoma County Assistant Commissioner Cornelius Nyaribai said Wanjala, who was linked to the gruesome murder of at least 10 children, was lynched after being spotted by residents on Friday morning.

It is suspected that he was trying to reach out to his family, who live in the area.

Wanjala escaped from Jogoo Road Police Station in Nairobi on Tuesday and was set to be arraigned in court the following day to face 13 counts of murder.

Police Inspector Philip Mbithi and constables Boniface Mutuma and Precious Mwende were arrested on Thursday for allegedly aiding the escape of the suspect.

They were charged with aiding escape from lawful custody and neglect of official duty contrary to sections 124 and 128 of the Penal Code.

Following his arrest in July, the suspect confessed to killing minors and led detectives to two murder scenes in Machakos county, five in Nairobi and two in Kajiado. Last month, detectives confirmed that Wanjala had killed four more minors in Bungoma, bringing the number of his victims to 13.

Investigations revealed that Wanjala single-handedly massacred his victims in the most callous manner, sometimes through sucking blood from their veins before executing them.

Police said the suspect was barely 16 years old when he executed his first victim, a 12-year-old girl who was kidnapped in Machakos in 2016.

Detectives established that all the murder victims were stupefied using a white substance in powder and liquid form, before being executed.

  2. This might sound funny, but…
This might sound funny, but its not. I tell Nyeuthis,in utter disbelief, that where from, criminals run away from irate people. In America, you people run away from the cops. Then….I educate them about mob justice, instant justice, that justice being delayed is justice denied, and lynching. Well, they are flabbergasted. They can’t do that it that in America. Its illegal, its absurd. This idiot was just set free by one of the most corrupt system in the world. The sad part is that this only happens to poor people. The narrative should change. Next should be Waiguru, Kamworos brothers, Ruto, Raila, Uhuru, Baba Yao, Sonko, and ALL other thieves of public resources.
