Detectives Reveal Shocking Details After Arresting Prime Suspect in the Murder of NLC Director Jennifer Wambua

Detectives have arrested Peter Mwangi Njenga, alias Ole Sankale, the prime suspect in the murder of acting Director of Communications at National Lands Commission (NLC) Jennifer Wambua.

Through criminal intelligence, detectives first forensically placed the suspect at the scene of the crime and later managed to find eyewitnesses, who saw him with the deceased on the last time she was seen alive on March 12th, 2021.

Detectives repeatedly combed the crime scene and managed to pick crucial exhibits, which were marked, packaged, and presented for forensic examination.

“The forensic results are finally out, positively matching the suspect,” DCI says.

Mwangi allegedly trailed Wambua to Ngong’ Forest where she had gone to pray, with investigations establishing that he interacted and spent time with his victim at a location where her half-naked body was later discovered.

“It was also established that the area is often visited by pilgrims for spiritual intentions. Detectives further established that the suspect preyed on the deceased as she prayed before he made his move to sexually assault her and strangle her to death,” DCI added.

An autopsy conducted by government pathologist Dr. Johansen Oduor revealed that there was sexual contact between Wambua and her killers. Her lifeless body was found at Vet Farm in Kajiado County.

A probe into Mwangi’s criminal records showed that he committed similar offenses in the past, with detectives baffled by how the suspect won freedom despite being handed a death sentence in 2003.

“It was confirmed that the suspect was a jailbird. Our criminal data system was mined and indeed confirmed the suspect had committed similar offenses using the same modus operandi of committing robbery and thereafter repeatedly, sexually abusing the victims by raping and killing them,” DCI noted.

“For instance, in 1996, he was charged with stealing and was further charged three times with the offenses of robbery with violence and rape. On January 15th, 2003, he was convicted and sentenced to death at Kibera Senior Resident’s Magistrate Court. How he won his freedom remains a mystery, which the detectives are currently engaged in demystifying.”

@ Peter, that article sheds some lights on what seems to be a murder to silence a witness.
Initial story has it that she was told by her pastor to go in the ” wilderness” and pray there. And this article says she was lured there.Well no wonder the pastor was grilled thoroughly .Unfortunately we are not privy to what he said…Iam sure he is till not under the radar…

This is one of the stupidest investigation ever.
She was murdered because she was going to testify linking senior government OFFICIALS with corruption.
Now ,Kenya being one of the most corrupt countries in the world, DCI got paid…
So they are linking a low life criminal to a high end murder.
    This story doesn’t make sense…
It’s a clever way to hoodwink Kenyans.

  3. Why is the script changing…
Why is the script changing regularly? Also, how far is Ngong forest from the place that Wambua worked at so that she could just leave her office to walk that far leaving the car behind?

  4. Similar cases where only …
Similar cases where only “MUKONO GUYS” are charged but the main suspects escape justice include-07/08 PEV and jambazi Mukuru Muchai’s murder cases.Bwana Kinoti should stop counting notes and arrest the Raila/Sponsor of Wambua’s murder.
