Police in Nairobi are detaining a youthful woman who allegedly stabbed three men on Wednesday.
The horrific incident that happened at Kamae in Nairobi’s Kahawa West estate left one of the men dead while two were critically injured.
It all started after a fight ensued between the suspect, who was armed with a kitchen knife, and a man believed to be her boyfriend.
Two men, who were passing by, went to separate the couple but the enraged woman stabbed them with the knife, leaving them unconscious.
The two suffered serious stab injuries on the neck, chest and other parts of their bodies. Reports indicate the two were drunk.
The woman later attacked her alleged lover by stabbing him multiple times, killing him on the spot.
Police said other passersby found the suspect sucking blood from open stab wounds sustained by the three victims.
By the time police arrived at the scene, irate mob had started stoning the woman but she was rescued.
“She had very long nails, which she used to tear into the already open wounds to trigger more bleeding. She, thereafter, sucked the blood from each of the three men, who were lying unconscious on the ground,” a resident named James Kiiru Ng’ang’a told K24 Digital.
The survivors were rushed to Kenyatta University Teaching, Referral and Research Hospital while the deceased’s body was moved to Chiromo mortuary.
The suspect was booked at Kasarani Police Station pending further investigations.
