Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB) CEO Ezekiel Mutua has once again told off Kenyans over their negative attitude towards government officials.
Mutua, in a Facebook post on Saturday, April 25th, said it is an uphill task to deal with Kenyans, describing them as “arrogant, ignorant and impatient.”
“I feel for CS Mutahi Kagwe and my prayers are with him and his team at the Ministry of Health. It’s not easy dealing with Kenyans,” wrote Mutua.
He lamented how Kenyans praise a leader and even nominate them as presidential candidates and, in no time, brand the person as a villain.
“Today they celebrate you and even unanimously nominate you to a presidential candidate. Then suddenly they are opposed to everything you are doing and have all manner of suggestions on how you are failing and how it can be done better.”
He added: “Besides being arrogant, Kenyans are also an ignorant and impatient lot. And this is what makes public service in Kenya a thankless job. That’s why I submit our good CS and his team to God to give them the wisdom, fortitude and grace to serve without expecting credit.”
Mutua, nicknamed ‘Kenyan moral policeman’, applauded leaders who have taken an active role in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.
“I pray for everyone at the frontline in this battle including our political leaders like Ali Hassan Joho, my own Governor Dr. Alfred Mutua, the indefatigable Nairobi Senator Johnson Sakaja and every leader trying to make a difference in the war against Coronavirus to soldier on and never look back,” he quipped.
Last week, Mutua found himself at loggerheads with Kenyans on social media after he reprimanded them for hating on their leaders.
“No country has ever progressed by hating its leaders. If you don’t like them, change them. But once you elect someone into office, for heaven’s sake, support them, pray for them and do your part as a citizen to contribute to the development of your country,” Mutua wrote on Twitter.
What kind of patience do you…
What kind of patience do you want from Kenyans? Dead people do not tell tales. Sick, hungry and down-trodden people have no patience.
When damn leaders promise to work for Kenyans and when they get the vote they turn abusive….thieves and don’t even care to put wananchi’s agenda as the priority… they steal and pass bills that only impact their own pockets, over-and-over, how else do you expect Kenyans to react?
What is wrong with Mutuas?…
What is wrong with Mutuas? You have the other one in US who thinks similarly. You are arrogant and ignorant Mutua. No wonder you are a Kenyan.
Tell me abort them someone…
Tell me abort them someone of whom see nothing wrong with things like Atheitsim, Homosexuality, Hatred, Tribalism, Nepotism, MARRIAGE destructions, etc (citing Adult consent). LORD have Mercy!?
There is nothing wrong with…
There is nothing wrong with Atheism or homosexuality. The problem is trying to force your morals or beliefs to other people.
We have our leaders in our…
We have our leaders in our prayers every day. Tell me how many ordinary Kenyans are responsible for stealing billions in the DAM scandals, nys, maize scandal, hospitals, garbage collection, kra, etc, etc. Do you want me to go on.
Mr Mutua this is the beginning of the end for you. So now the Wananchi you and your ilk lord over are fools, ignorant, arrogant and ingratiates.
Mutua, are you sure you are…
Mutua, are you sure you are not talking about yourself?
Kenyans are a wounded lot who have been disappointed over and over again. You and your colleagues just need to work harder to gain their trust and while you do so, declare your wealth and tell your buddies in the government to do the same.
Mutua, are you not a Kenyan?…
Mutua, are you not a Kenyan?? I find you very arrogant and very ignorant in every aspect of your behavior! How about that Mutua??
Totaling. Tell him!
Totaling. Tell him!
Kenyans are not sycophants…
Kenyans are not sycophants. They look for leaders but what they se are thieves. They see hospitals without medicine, pipes without water, unemployment of their children who they worked very hard to educate, leaders who agree on nothing else other than when they vote to increase their perks. They see roads that are not taken care of, they see corruption on the highways, they see two sets of laws, for the rich and the poor. The rich go free, the poor go to jail. Do not judge Kenyans, judge your colleagues. They don’t complain for nothing. You tell them to bring change, but you hold all the change mechanisms. Talk to your colleagues and ask them to behave. Otherwise, it’s you you look ignorant, arrogant and judgmental.
If you cannot stand the heat…
If you cannot stand the heat stay out of the kitchen. How do you justify your huge salary while people in the slums have nothing to eat and their work hours are limited further by the curfew. You sound like that comedian who burnt his shirt because of being trolled.Respect is EARNED not bought or for some desperate ones begged. You think ranting on Facebook will put food on the table or pay bills.Jiuzulu tafadhali it appears your Mpigmanship has gone to your head.
To all of the commentors…
To all of the commentors above.
The moral cop Mr Mutua is right on 1. Kenyans are Ignorant. Yes! I am so for electing thieves, plunders and wealth instead of humble leaders.
2. I am arrogamt to declare my choice best even when it is miscontrued. Desputing
3. Kenyans are thankless for not applauding 3000 baquttes of flowers sent to UK to show solidality while Wanjiku is starving to death. To sum it up….We are daft.
