Esther Passaris to Grant KSh200,000 Every Month to an Unemployed Kenyan Twitter User with the Best Business Idea

Nairobi Woman Representative Esther Passaris has announced a new plan whose aim is to address the problem of unemployment in the country.

Through her Twitter handle, Passaris promised to give out KSh200,000 every month from her salary to youth with brilliant business ideas as part of her efforts to create jobs. Passaris announced the move after a Twitter user identified as Brian Mboya on Thursday begged her to offer him any kind of job, including sweeping floors.

“Hae mama taa I need help from you need a job here I am in Nairobi hata ka ya kufagia please, any that I can earn,” Mboya tweeted.

In response, Passaris told Mboya she did not have any jobs to offer at the time but could help him and other young people employ themselves by giving them grants. She urged those hoping to get the grant to pitch their ideas through Twitter.

“I do not have any jobs at the moment. What I have is grants to help you get off to being self-employed. I will dedicate 200k every month out of my monthly salary and the best business advisors and mentors. All you have to do is ‘pitch’ your idea on this platform,” said Passaris.

  1. @passaris – lets make a deal…
@passaris – lets make a deal here – I will give you business ideas relevant to the needy so they can have start up businesses fit for their local needs! I will give my ideas free of charge!!

Watch this space as we go along!!!

Got to go have my Breakfast as I tabulate quality ideas!!

      • @migikuyu – I love…
        @migikuyu – I love Mwakilishi the best!

The other news outlets still give me some goose bumps; they make me hold my horses as you wish to ask me me to do.

But I don’t have the time to do so! I’m very impatient when people (politicians) are not doing what is rightfully the people’s deal! Join me to ask them to cease corruption now, and then you can get the kudos later once Kenya has become prosperous!

And by the way, isn’t it this kind of cheap shots that Kenya politicians are fighting for – shaure yako wewe Kama unataka kuwa-join! Maina is moving real fast a furious bro! I got no time for cheap praises – ama kudos! Tunaelewana, eeeh sawa kabisa!!

  2. While this is a noble idea,…
While this is a noble idea, I have a better one.How about paying school fees for these students who have so impressive results, but cannot afford school fees. Lets invest in them. They are the future of our country, and are also in the tech. generation, which is the future of the world.
Secondly, work in concert with companies that might need skills these people possess.Let the,200,000 go toward their salaries. This way, they are keeping busy while honing their skills ,that is in addition to learning how to spend, and save money.Let them work for 3years,and if they have saved enough”downpayment” on their projects, then help them where they fall short…Let the government handle creation of”big” jobs, and create good economic envronment where all who have the ability to thrive can prosper…My two cents.

    • @maxiley – wow my friend -…
@maxiley – wow my friend – you are already talking my points to Passaris! Education, education and more education is business enterprise # 1 with which Passaris can start. Please use all the CDF bursary money toward this important venture! There are hundreds of qualified pupil who are still wondering if they will ever see a high school classroom!

Passaris – it is not the mere fact that we like talking to you politicians through Mwakilishi new outlet, it is the shock of what nearly all politicians are not doing to effectively change the face of Kenya. I applaud you for your willingness to give $2009.00 per month to some unemployed twitter guy, but hold on for now! You can wisely use that money for a better cause! How do you that twitter guy is not a drunkard guy sitting in the old Karumando bar just waiting to consume that money on Njohi ya Miratina?

Whoever cares about Kenya can give so good business ideas without expecting to be paid; that is what has destroyed our innovative community!

      What else @maxiley?

      • @ Maina,In addition to what…
@ Maina,In addition to what I have suggested, government should come up with innovative programs such as paying school fees, and medical expenses for the first two kids two married parents have.
This has a three pronged purpose.
        1. Will discourage reckless births to irresponseble parents. After all its the society that pays the price when this kids derail.
2.It will give relieve to those who have more than two kids, and thus help relive the burden…free resource for investment…
Think of it this way:imagine if the population of Kenya was 20,000.000 with the resources we have now?
USA,and other developed country would not be where they were having 7-10 kids on the average.Again imagine each family having an average of 2-3 kids instead of 7-9.Most would agree with me fewer kids are menageable, and have less demands on poor families. This is commonsense, and has nothing to do with western culture. Its a question of limited resources.I have no problem if Uhuru,or Ruto have 30 kids between them, they can afford. How about average Joe having 10 kids with no work?.His lack of planning becomes a burden to society.Gone are the days when you needed more hands on the farm. Its amatter of quality of life for your kids how ever many one has. Certainly no one can argue that the few kids you have with limited resources the better a chance they have at “good life”.
3:) we would have less drunkard guys sitting in the old karumaindo bar consuming Njohi ya miratina, and spending the little they have on malaya, while junior is on the streets begging…
@ Maina, all these suggestions to be effective, you need an enlightened masses. EDUCATION.EDUCATION.
Can you imagine trying to convince an “un educated person” that less kids would be more”menageable”.He/ she will tell you that God said populate the world, and he she is playing their part.Yes they are playing their part without work,or enough land to live on…But education can open their eyes so to speak. And have them make educated decisions. What do you say?

        • @maxiley – I fully agree and…
@maxiley – I fully agree and support everything you have said here! The rate of birth and the number of children born should be controlled! Too many mouths to feed from nothing, or very little for that matter! Quality education is the only solution!!

    • Kenyans education is rubbish…
Kenyans education is rubbish. Not everyone needs college. The business idea is good. And production

      • @mulan – really, really, and…
@mulan – really, really, and reaaaaly! Ok, ok, dookie! And your point of ignorance is well taken! I have nothing more to say because what I want to tell you can not fit in the pages here!

No wonder we continue to elect dummies because “we” the electorate do not know any better!! Knock your self out and have ignorance gun!! Bestie!!

  3. @passaris – what do you…
@passaris – what do you think about declaring a state of emergency on corruption! Kenya ranks # 8 as the most corrupt nation in the world!? Are we ashamed for being thieves or what?

We need to stop glorifying policeman’s who steal from us. Ati so and so did not have a kaki shirt when we elected her/him but one year he is driving 19 Benz cars like a Ndiguri! Mental attitudes have to be overhauled!

I blame corruption on the pretty girls – Mpango wa from local Universities coupled with the short skirt dressed one in Kariobangi, that are causing men to steal like mad to impress them with flowery dresses!

Passaris you have been a victim of this kind of corruption to a point you enlarged your homestead to accommodate piligamy. Better the devil that you know, than dealing with unknown demonic Satan!

Actually, most men are just morons and they like to hog everything to themselves without consideration of others! This curse need to die a natural death in Kenya for the country to start developing to progress.

Just imagine how Kenya would be if no politician, civil servant, MCA stole from the public coffers.

I say politicians because those citizen who steal are quickly locked up – just like those Hungry guys who stole a couple of dozens of eggs from the DP Ruto’s Kambi Kuku farm. They are still rotting up in jail – wish we could do the same thing to the Master!

All the money stolen through corruption can be equally shared by mama and papa mboga to start small businesses so they can have money for food and even enough money to send the kids to school.

So, fighting corruption – I mean seriously fighting corruption bila ndomo by jailing politicians and even cutting off both hands will help a lot in starting small businesses in Kenya.

  4. @Passaris, you maybe back on…
@Passaris, you maybe back on the right track albeit temporarily but I am going to keep my hopes up for you because the youth need jobs, jobs, jobs.

    • @mugikuyu – what good ideas…
@mugikuyu – what good ideas do you have to pass on to Passaris on your “Twitter handle” besides the fact that youth needs so job, jobs, and more jobs! Any ideas!?

Just tell her to initiate a new hospital project for Women with back pains! They can be treated right there in Nairobi because they can’t afford the money to travel to India!

I just gave you an idea but please don’t pay me! Send the money to a needy family to start a small business some place in Mukurweni, Nyeri. Poverty is every corner in Kenya!

  5. I thought all this should…
I thought all this should have gone to twitter not here. Anyway I understand Most kenyans don’t care for instructions and neither do they read. @Passarris needs to declare where this money is coming from…

  6. You are copying Ruto only…
You are copying Ruto only you are targeting the youth while Ruto hides behind the church.Money does not buy votes.Look at Sonko he too bought his way into becoming Governor only to be reduced to a common thief.Let your work speak for itself come 2022 and gracefully accept retirement if you do not get re-elected
