Grief engulfed a Mombasa church on Sunday morning after a pastor stabbed his wife during church service before killing himself over an alleged domestic dispute.
Pastor Elisha Misiko of Ground for Jesus Church in Chembani, Bamburi in Mombasa was sitting beside his wife at the pulpit before he unleashed a knife and stabbed her on the back and head. He then committed suicide by slitting his own throat using the same knife, according to eyewitnesses.
Kisauni Police Commander Julius Kiragu confirmed the 10 am incident saying an investigation had been launched. He added that pastor Misiko was found with a 17-page suicide note detailing marital disputes with his wife after the incident.
The pastor allegedly accused his wife of attempting to take over the church ‘he had struggled’ to establish. Pastor Misiko had reported his marriage troubles several times at the Kiembeni Police Station in Kisauni. The two had four children including three sons and a daughter.
The pastor’s wife was rushed to Coast General Hospital where she succumbed to stab wounds while receiving treatment. The bodies of the deceased couple were taken to the Coast General Hospital mortuary.
How could this pastor be…
How could this pastor be serving God? Certainly not.Or should I ask which God? I dont care what spin the christians put on this incident. The devil is the pastor. That’s all.
Apparently. the church was build for selfish reasons, otherwise why should it matter if the wife takes over the church. Its his wife for God’s sake. His helper-supposedly.Unfortunately,there is no measurement to tell us who is atrue man of God from afake one.Now days, they all behave pretty much the same way;seek money, and fame seekers.spiritual nourishment of the masses is no longer their goal.
Anyway, its this kind of behaviour that discourages the would be christians sitting on the fringe waiting for aconvincing reason to join the faithful. Society holds men of God to a high standard of moral, and ethical behavior,as the good book demands.Otherwise dont claim to be serving God,if your acts are no different from those who dont serve him,or worse. And dont blame the devil.Use your brain to make decisions, and bare the consequences or fruits of your decisions,My two cents.
Again I urge the bona fide pastors, and other influential people of God to start taking action. We are seeing too many of these un Godly behaviors from supposedly men of God,too frequently for comfort.

Brothers, sisters, let us…
Brothers, sisters, let us refrain from judgement and pray for this traumatized family and orphaned congregation. Remember pastors are humans who can even succumb to mental illness and deadly stress. This demonstrate how much the pastors need our prayers and encouragement.
We do not know what really happened here. Nevertheless no action from human flows and weaknesses should discourage us from seeking to know Christ who is our real reason for living. He is God and not man. In the end everyone still has to work out their own salvation and have a personal relationship with our Lord. We are not excused from our own roles because ten churches and pastors failed miserably and gave Christ a bad name. The bad name does not stick on Him, he remains holy and we will all answer individually for our own roles as ambassadors of Christ on earth.
Let us console with our coast brethren and the bereaved family. Let’s encourage them that Christ is still the answer to every question in their mind over this incident.
There is a desperate need and urgency for us to study the Bible for ourselves rather than relying on what the Pastors read. In this way we will stay reconciled with one another and also wit b God. May God bless our land and be glorified within all our borders.
If wealth is the motivation…
If wealth is the motivation for starting churches, we aren’t hearing the last of such sad news. God is not mocked. There comes a day that hypocrites are exposed and we see them for who they really are. There are many scoundrels, scoffers, exploiters, thieves, double dealers, conmen and conwomen masquerading as pastors, bishops, apostles and what have you. Their sole aim is to get rich and brag about it. They are also experts at brainwashing their sycophants and eat them alive as they watch. We will know them by their fruit and one day, here on earth they will face judgment. Evil has it’s own consequences.
