American Man Accuses Kenyan Police of Sexually Assaulting Him while in Custody

An American man who was arrested last weekend for allegedly taking photos of parliament buildings in Nairobi claims that he was sexually assaulted while in a police cell.

Jason Thomas Dorsey made the claims when he appeared before Milimani Chief Magistrate Francis Andayi on Tuesday.

Dorsey was arrested on Sunday and locked at Parliament Police Station for allegedly filming Parliament, a restricted area.

Magistrate Andayi directed Nairobi Central DCIO to investigate Dorsey’s claims that he was sexually assaulted by police while in custody and present a report to the court on Thursday, August 29th.

Dorsey was charged with taking photos of a restricted area and assaulting a police officer while performing his duty.

While denying the charges, Dorsey told the court that he only touched the officer in self-defense as they were confiscating his headphones. He alleged that he was sexually assaulted while in the police cell and denied medical treatment.

The magistrate further ordered Jason, who is not represented, be transferred from Parliament Police Station to Central Police Station and be given medical attention.

The accused told the court that he ran out of cash and that he cannot afford to hire an attorney. He asked the magistrate to direct the State to get him a lawyer.

The magistrate told Dorsey to write a formal letter addressed to State indicating why he is not able to hire an attorney. The magistrate said the accused risks being jailed for five years if found guilty of the charges.

No money, black and in Kenya? A serious hazard. Why can’t they contact the US embassy on his behalf? You no longer take pictures in Kenya…unless you are white. Even Wode Maya the Ghanian YouTuber knows now lol.

the U.S embassy should provide him assistance. if he was white he wouldn’t be arrested. Kenyans are so dumb.
AND WHOEVER THIS KIKUYU WAMJOMBA IS, you are very petty and opinionated, however, devoid of facts.

    • @Ken Motley. You sound like…
@Ken Motley. You sound like arrogant negros who strive for their rights and not responsibility. It doesn’t matter whether you are black or white, when you go to a different country you must abide with their laws and just act the way you like validate your American arrogance, if this idiot violated Kenyan laws did you expect authorities to give him a hug?? Also don’t bring the race card as most of your people here do ( I can you are black American and I bet you would do the same shit in foreign country then try to play a race card). That’s not like application of EBT or section aid housing where you must get because you are black. By the way I expect you to learn about how Kenyans in diaspora communicate and not just ride this ” matatu ” unknowingly where it is heading to , let me ask you like how your fellow negros ask Africans here in US ( Why are you in mwakilishi?)
      Alright welcome aboard

  5. @WAMJOMBA, So, you’re in the…
@WAMJOMBA, So, you’re in the states huh? I wonder for how long? You know all those “rights” you enjoy in AMERICA? Well, a lot of BLACKS died for you to enjoy those rights. You seem to forget what blacks have been through in America. Also, Black Americans are AFRICANS and as in kenya we prefer to kiss colonizers and look down on blacks based on skin color. I saw this BS when I went to Mombasa and even hotels in Nairobi, and the thing that they don’t understand is that those Africans or black people probably have more money than these europeans they adore. I advise you to study history instead of being here spilling nonsense, shame on you!
