Drama unfolded during Madaraka Day Celebrations in Nairobi on Saturday after Woman Representative Esther Passaris walked off as Governor Mike Sonko addressed the crowd.
In her speech during the ceremony held at Pumwani Secondary School, Passaris accused Sonko of refusing to work with her, saying that he had been ignoring her numerous phone calls.
She also urged Sonko to iron out his alleged differences with Starehe Member of Parliament Charles Kanyi Njagua alias Jaguar.
Passaris further questioned the source of money Sonko dishes to members of the public.
Passaris’s speech irked Governor Sonko who did not hesitate to hit back at her when rose to the podium.
“Unanipigia simu mimi si bwana yako,” Sonko said while giving his speech.
“Let us respect one another. Even President Uhuru Kenyatta does not respond to my calls every time,” Sonko added.
As Sonko continued to throw words at her, Passaris decide to leave the celebration amidst jeerers and heckling from Sonko supporters.
“My money; the one I have from my own pocket, I will share with the Wanjikus. The little you have, take it to the children’s home,” Sonko continued and dismissed Passaris’s claim that he has differences with MP Jaguar.
“I have no problem with Jaguar and we talk almost on a daily basis,” he said.

That is the way to do it.This Sonko is another guy from the school of hard knocks it is still a mystery where his source of wealth comes from Waititu aliangushwa you are next.Me too movement all the way usikubali kutukanwa .Walk out or talk back like Aisha Jumwa these “mitches” need to be made aware that it is a new dawn
There is better way Mr…
There is better way Mr. Sonko would have done this.He reduced himself the level of of a fifth grader. Why insult a lady who asked genuine questions. Why sink to the personal level of saying “Mimi si Bwana Yako?” Nairobians and all Kenyans should condemn these type of rhetoric on public podiums.
