New US Envoy to Kenya Kyle McCarter to be Installed as Tharaka Elder

New United States envoy to Kenya Kyle McCarter is on Saturday set to be crowned as an elder of Tharaka community.

Ambassador McCarter and his family lived with the Tharaka community for several years before returning to the US.

McCarter’s family, who lived in Mukothima area, are celebrated and respected by residents for setting up a health center, school and children’s home through his charity organization, ‘Each One Feed One Kenya.’

The institutions have changed the lives of many in the village located in Tharaka North Constituency.

His installation comes a few weeks after he assumed his position as new US ambassador to Kenya, replacing Robert Godec.

McCarter was nominated to the prestigious position by US President Donald Trump.

Mukothima residents view his return to Kenya as a blessing and want local leaders to take advantage of his close ties with the community.

The installation ceremony will be held at the Mukothima Catholic Church grounds.

A health center built by the former Illinois Senator is popularly known as ‘Kwa Makata’ – a corruption of his name.

This is what happens when a people are not taught their history and are only taught their colonizers history. What is needed is de-colonization of mind and spirit. These so called “Whites” (Edomites) are the same people who came in the name of Christianity (Catholic church and all other religions) carrying a bible on one hand and a gun on the other. To steal our land and resources, they maimed, raped, castrated, sodomized, raped, hanged and killed our forefathers. Forward this picture to today, and instead of seeing them as who they really are, we are busy installing them as elders. Why has he not been installed as an elder among the so called ” Blacks” ( Hebrew Israelites) in his own country. It’s because the Hebrew Israelites have lived with them for 400 years and they know who they are and what they are capable of. “Bibilically, their blessing is the sword”. May our people wake up to the reality.

@Anonymous UI I didn’t imagine such bull shit could come from you. Until when are you Africans going to complain about stolen resources, colonialism and such hogwash? What are you doing with the resources that you currently have?

  3. Tharaka community, this man…
Tharaka community, this man doesn’t know what an elder means. Where he comes from they’re all boys defined only by money and power. Yes he built a Heath care and school- but have ever wondered why you couldn’t built yourselves. These so called white people have been helping themselves with our resources for more than a hundred years. Our brave fathers suffered, were persecuted and many died in order to regain our God given rights and freedoms from these wicked animals. I wonder how many brave Mau Mau freedom fighters you have honoured. How many children of our Mau freedom heroes have you helped in schooling and in life struggles. I bet you the school your Caucasian friend built; just like all our other schools in the country doesn’t teach our children the history of our people’s heroic struggle and sacrifice against the demonic colonization of our land by the Caucasians.

Such an embarrassment. Our ancestors are rolling in their graves at the sheer stupidity. Serious education is needed so that this crap can stop. How many Africans have been bestowed as elders in the West?Even Uhuru has the same tendency to kiss ass, no wonder we are so much in debt.

  4. @njai, am sorry to break it…
@njai, am sorry to break it to you. What you call hogwash, which means nonsense and rubbish is exactly what is happening to your life today. It’s mind boggling for you to think that colonialism has no effect on Africans today and our resources are not stolen today. If you do just a little reading and research, you would be surprised of how I’ll informed you’re. Read: Nick Dearden, a British ” Africa is not poor, we’re stealing it’s wealth” (Nick Dearden is the director of UK campaign- organization for global justice now). @njai, Sub- sahara Africa is a net creditor to the rest of the world to the tune of more than $41 billion. Over $203 billion leave the continent every year, we receive $161 billion in return. $68 billion is stolen from us in form of dodged taxes by multi-corporations. We loose around 6.1 percent of the continent’s entire GDP or 3 times what Africa receives in Aids (ref. Aljazeera news). Over $30 billion is repatriated as profit by multi-corporations to their home country. Over $29 billion is stolen from Africa in illegal logging, fishing and trade in wildlife. “How Africa can be so rich in resources yet so poor—” see documentary ” stealing Africa by Danish film maker Christoffer Guldbrandsen (www.themindfulword.org). We can face reality and fight for our God given rights freedom and resources or we can have a delusional good time with the enemies that have taken advantage of us through out time- meanwhile, our people who try to stand up for fairness and call it like it is, we call them bull shit.

  5. @Mwororo it’s all in our…
@Mwororo it’s all in our minds. What are we doing as others steal and cart away our wealth? Do we even realize how rich we are? Personally, I refuse to blame others for our poverty. Africans have deliberately decided not to use their God given minds to uplift themselves. Kazi ni kulaumu wengine tu. Mara wakoroni, mara shetani, mara viongozi, mara uchawi na upuzi ingine miingi.

    • I agree with you. As far as…
I agree with you. As far as I know, Kenya has self rule and has been so for more than 50 years but it’s not like we have done that excellent in order to show that it’s foreign rule that ties our hands. Yes, the world is more complex than that of course but, but, even most Asian countries were colonized by the same Western powers and even continue to be undermined by the West but check some of them and how they are rising. The Asian, even in America is a minority but commands higher wages than other races, even whites. These people don’t just complain but go to work and prove themselves. This is one attribute I admire about them and one that I abhor in a lot of black people. Even in America, blacks (and rightfully so, only complain about slavery and its aftermath but I think there is more that can be done in parallel (I am not advocating that they just sit there and be discriminated in their own country). You ask how I know? Well, if it was simply black skin, majority of Africans in the US would have criminal records, and most males would be in jail. That’s not the case. Being black is not the only reason life is the way it is in the US. In a similar way, being a former British colony and living in an era where Western countries dominate world affairs are not the main reasons why many Kenyans lack access to the most basic of human needs.

  6. @ Ukweli, I agree it is not…
@ Ukweli, I agree it is not the black skin, it is more so the lies that have been told for such a long time over the years and repeated using money and power to create fake truth from those lies. These lies have been taught in Churches, in schools ( in history) in businesses, in politics. After 400 years the Hebrew Israelites (so called blacks) in the West are waking up to who they are ( Watch Hebrew Israelites on you tube channels) and we as so called “blacks” or so called “Africans” need to do the same, wake up to the reality of who we are and stop being copy cats.
