Queen Elizabeth II Formally Receives Kenya's New Envoy to the UK Manoah Esipisu

Kenya’s new High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Manoah Esipisu has officially been received by Queen Elizabeth II in London.

During the Tuesday Audience, Esipisu presented his credentials to Her Majesty at the Buckingham Palace.

“Presented my letters of credence, by which President Uhuru Kenyatta appointed me High Commissioner to the UK, to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II at Buckingham Palace. Thanked the Queen for her enduring friendship with Kenya,” says Esipisu in a tweet.

In a tweet, the Royal Family says Esipisu will have regular one-on-one meetings with the Queen throughout her working week.

“The Queen has a very personal relationship with Kenya. In 1952, as Princess Elizabeth, Her Majesty visited Kenya at the start of a Commonwealth tour on behalf of her father, King George VI,” reads the tweet.

“It was at Sagana Lodge, Kiganjo that she learnt of her accession to the throne in 1952.”

The State House Spokesperson was appointed as Kenya’s envoy to the UK by President Kenyatta on July 24th, 2018.
