DPP Noordin Haji Vows to Unmask Nairobi's Faceless Crime Buster 'Hessy wa Dandora'

The Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Noordin Haji has called for an investigation into Nairobi’s faceless crime buster ‘Hessy wa Dandora’.

Speaking in Kayole, Nairobi on Thursday, Haji said the shadowy crime buster must be investigated over allegations of extrajudicial killings.

Haji said he will personally follow up the matter with the Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinnet.

“No one should be killed; suspects must go through legal process. I will write to IG to investigate on Hessy vigilante group,” said Haji.

The dreaded crime buster uses Facebook to issue death warnings to criminals and has taken credit for the killing of several suspected gangsters in Nairobi’s Eastlands area.

He even posts the criminals’ bloody photos on his social media page once he guns them down.

In an interview last year, Boinnet disowned ‘Hessy Wa Dandora’ saying he is not a cop.

Boinnet described him as a chap who has an interest in security matters.

“I have heard of such a guy on social media. He is an excitable chap, who seems to have a lot of interest in security issues. He is not one of us,” said Boinett.

At the same time, the Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI) George Kinoti has vowed to expose police officers who kill innocent Kenyans.

“I acknowledge that the police kill innocent civilians unlawfully and it is a fact because I have seen it. I stand before God if myself or anybody who will ever cover for someone who has killed an innocent person let God curse me.”

“I am saying no one will ever cover for a police officer who kills under my watch,” says Kinoti.

Did you know that Charles Njagua Kanyi, the politician was involved in an accident that killed someone and just because he is a politician this case went down. Why only enforce law to the weak and the big fish just slide and move on with their lives?? its so saddening that mnyonge will face the wrath of law and the judicial will say no one is above the law, however when it comes to the ones in power they can easly bend the law. it sad being a normal kenyan

    • Can someone do something…
Can someone do something about it!.
It’s not too late, I think it’s wise to have a Web site where we can post all those poor Citizen cases buried or loose their rights. Every human have a right to be treated right with dignity no matter whom you are.

    • Njagua’s was an accident,…
Njagua’s was an accident, not a criminal case. Problems with Kenyans is that we avoid facts to support our conclusion. Hessy is cold murder, though their victims are also murderous.

  2. Really? So this guy is…
Really? So this guy is killing thugs and he’s so urgent?????? This dude should be nabbing corrupt fools, no idea he has done great there, attention to task! Eish

  3. Are you all surprised that…
Are you all surprised that this happens?. Are you somebody like ‘Hessy wa Dandora’ can take law in his hand and carry extrajudicial killings for a long time without concern of the authorities including Parliament? or are you even surprised somebody can impersonate President of Kenya and swindle KSh 80,000,000.00 from a company and then get bailed out with a bond of KSh 100,000.00 to enable him hide the stolen money? If you are don’t. Kenya has become another Nigeria or even worse. Take the case of Waiganjo who rose to the rank of Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of National Security without ever been in a Police training school and you will see the state of our Nation. Waiganjo, a village vigilante just walked to a Police Station,
claimed to be a Police Inspector and rose all the way to became Deputy Commissioner of Police without ever been asked a question

  4. Extra judicial killings is a…
Extra judicial killings is a no. However the police may have something to learn from Hessy vigilante intelligence gathering. Make it tripartite initiative involving Hessy, Police and the public. Let Hessy use their intelligence, share with police and public. If you are mentioned by Hessy’s Facebook take the step to report to nearest police station to clear their name. And possibly Hessy could provide evidence they have…work out a modality. Times have changed and creative way towards securing our neighbourhoods and people cannot be restricted only to old-beaten-path of piga ripoti kwa kituo….
