Police Arrest Four Suspects Linked to a Series of Burglaries in Kilimani, Kileleshwa Estates

Police have arrested four suspects in connection with a series of burglaries in Nairobi’s Kilimani and Kileleshwa estates.

The four men have been arrested in Kihoto area, Ruiru on Monday morning after police officers trailed them from a robbery scene in Kileleshwa.

“A car that they have been using in the robberies was also recovered alongside several other household goods,” police say in a statement.

The four suspects have been identified as Alex Nderi alias Ade, Peter Kaari alias Pinches/Walker, Lawrence Alusala alias Nico and Veronica Kamau alias Veroh.

The four suspects will be arraigned in court to face various charges including robbery with violence.

The arrests come a week after CCTV footage of a sole burglar nicknamed ‘Spiderman’ emerged.

The footage shows the burglar carrying a backpack scaling from one floor to another.

On February 10th, the well-built man was captured on CCTV at 12:52 am jumping over the fences of different residential apartments in Kilimani.

He is said to have stolen millions of shillings after breaking into a safe in one of the apartments on that night.

The owner of the apartment is reported to have suffered shock and was rushed to the hospital after learning that the money was missing.

On this year’s Valentine’s Day, a foreigner reported that his safe was broken into and his loaded firearm stolen.

Another victim said she found her door open when she woke up in the morning and her laptop, as well as other valuables, had been stolen.

Lately I have been shocked at the rate of women suspected of committing hard core crimes that were in the years past , a preserve of thuggery men.
Women are no longer the soft, gentle, loving and nurturing beings we have known throughout our society. What the heck is going on?Is crime paying? Are we soft on crime? Its bad enough that men have been know as the”badest” and now women have joined them at an alarming rate.Mataing’i please do something?

    • That is stereotyping women,…
That is stereotyping women, then why do we have kamiti women wing ?Equal rights, women can commit deadly crimes too worse than stealing and even in Medieval times there were some deadly women – Cleoptra assembled a mercenary army in Syria and lets not forget Wangu wa Makeri – the only Kikuyu tribal chief circa 1856 – 1915. Alice Lakwena etc….. Women were not always soft , gentle , loving and nurturing and dare I say in 2019 , they definitely are not, unless one has mummy issues 🙂

Certainly you cannot argue that there is not an increase of women committing crime propotionate to men in Kenya. In the 80 you hardly saw headlines of hardcore criminal women…

I was not reading papers in the 80s so sijui:-). I’m sure there are statistics out there to proof your point

Marehemu Charles Darwin alisema, “survival of the fittest.”

Not that I am supporting the crime, but wondering on the irony of the poor stealing from the rich, and the rich stealing from the poor. Who does the law deal with as it should be???
Of course the current Kenya has the scale of justice biased against the poor thief versus the rich thief. Wake up Wanjiku!!! Fight all criminals rich and poor by all means.
