Kisumu Governor Anyang’ Nyong’o has admitted to Aga Khan Hospital in Kisumu.
Nyong’o has been rushed to hospital after reportedly falling ill while attending the ceremony for the installation of Rev. Philip Anyolo as the new Kisumu Catholic diocese Archbishop.
Rev. Anyolo, who is the chairperson of the Kenya Conference of Catholic Bishops (KCCB), takes over from Archbishop Zacchaeus Okoth who is retiring after being in the helm in the past five decades.
Doctors at the facility say Governor Nyong’o has been admitted at the Intensive Care Unit but is in stable condition.
Governor Nyong’o has been attending the function alongside Opposition leader Raila Odinga and Deputy President William Ruto.
Other leaders at the ceremony include CSs Eugene Wamalwa (Devolution) and Raychelle Omamo (Defence); Governors Anyang’ Nyong’o (Kisumu) and Wycliffe Wangamati (Bungoma); MPs Chris Wamalwa (Kiminini) and Otiende Amolo (Rarieda); Senators Moses Kajwang (Homa Bay) and Moses Wetangula (Bungoma).
The catholic church has…
The catholic church has become the third wheel in Kenya corruption. How can Anyolo accept two stolen cars? We should outsource the catholic church leadership to the catholic church in DRC.
