'Washenzi': President Kenyatta Hits Back at MPs Moses Kuria, Kimani Ngunjiri

President Kenyatta has hit back at Jubilee Members of Parliament criticizing him for neglecting Central Kenya region as far as development projects are concerned.

Speaking in Mombasa on Monday, Kenyatta has described the MPs as “washenzi” (fools), saying his aim is to ensure that every part of the country benefits from government’s development plan.

“I am not a person who is easily scared… Those going around playing petty politics I want to tell them this. We will not launch development projects based on which region a leader comes from. We want all 45 million Kenyans to benefit, we want all corners of this country to grow,” said Kenyatta during the commissioning of the Mama Ngina waterfront regeneration project.

“We want a country where every single citizen is entitled to development regardless of where the leader comes from. Kwa hivyo hao washenzi waachane na mimi…(Let those fools leave me alone). We want a country where every Kenyan feels they are part of this nation.”

MPs Moses Kuria (Gatundu South) and Kimani Ngunjiri (Bahati) have accused Kenyatta of starving Mt. Kenya of development projects despite the region being his political bedrock and voting for him overwhelmingly.

Kuria accused Kenyatta of turning his people into voting machines saying that he only goes to Central Kenya to issue certificates to rehabilitated addicts instead of launching projects as he does in other areas.

“We have been rendered into voting machines but development is channeled elsewhere; we must shelve that nonsense.”

“I want to tell the President to launch water, new roads, and electrification projects. We were with him in Kisumu where he launched new roads but coming to Kiambu, he only issued certificates to rehabilitated alcoholics,” said Kuria.

On the other hand, MP Ngunjiri said it is during Kenyatta’s regime that Mt. Kenya residents have suffered most.

“If Uhuru is tired, let him call for elections for the presidential seat. Our people are crying all over, they have no lives. There is no government that has pushed the Kikuyu community to a tough corner, politically and economically, than this (Jubilee) government,” said Ngunjiri in a press briefing on Sunday.

        • Don’t buy their emotional…
Don’t buy their emotional outbursts, they could be faking.

They even import and sell counterfeit things and then cry when they are exposed.

          They’re fakers.

        • They are complaining because…
They are complaining because majority of those projects are Uhuru Kenyatta , his family and friends private projects.

These projects were built on private land and they are controlled by private individuals.

They were funded by public funds though.

The kikuyu tribe is full of Shenzi type.

      • Impressive list. How about…
Impressive list. How about giving us the list of other regions so that we can make our own conclusions?

        • The conclusion is Team…
The conclusion is Team Secession are correct in saying resource allocation in Kenya is not fair.Central Kenya has been getting majority of the projects at the expense of other parts of Kenya.

All devolved counties should be given their devolved funds.

Even if the county officials steal, let them steal the funds that have been allocated to them.

      • And all of this is in Kiambu…
And all of this is in Kiambu. Kuria is referring to Mt. Kenya region!!

  2. I didn’t know he took Kuria…
I didn’t know he took Kuria’s critique that personally. Wahenzi in front of the cameras? Sawa tiu Ngina’s.

  3. I have no time for…
I have no time for proponents of “development in our area” nonsense.A country as poor as Kenya needs targeted/ maximum return investment.Building “fake roads” in my area makes no sense unless the road can pay for itself.Building “airports” so your village god can be seen flying in over slums is dumb. However , the president fails to read the bigger picture and he will pay a big price very soon.Calling people like Ngunjiri a fool instead of hearing him out is lazy and arrogant. If you come from RV as hon. Ngunjiri does you know he is crying out for the millions who have no voice. The reckless manner the president is treating the DP and by extension the people of RV is a recipe for disaster. No development will be achieved if the president take people of RV back to friction/hate/mistrust of years gone.Any stagnation of growth in this region due to political wounds inflicted by political recklessness will be fatal. The president is free to take “development” whenever he sees fit.Just the other day raila and his goons were burning down such “developments” and were it not for the heroism of people like Ngunjiri/DP Ruto and others who made sure people came out three times to vote en mass and give legitimacy to the elections for the sake of peace are we safer today. What Ngunjiri and Kuria are saying is that the president’s new found friends cannot have a bigger say in what is going on than those who have paid a price to preserve the republic by peacefully supporting democracy. Appeasing the devil and throwing those on whose backs you have ridden under the bus thus far is USHENZI-There i have said it.I thought “development” was now localized via county gov. and so the president should be talking national/kaliech projects that traverse the nation/counties- they are called (interstates in US).Oh wait – his new friends opposed SGR and said it went to his “farm”.Were those people fools then/now?.Be careful what you do with peace- do not play with it.Bring those who did not vote back on fold but not by chasing away those who did.

    • What price? Or is it…
What price? Or is it Impeachment? Anyway: Uhuru knows he is not Campaigning (for 3rd Term). He already got his “lame Duck” 2 terms (and to hell with whinings).

      • You may be “too young” to…
You may be “too young” to figure out what price the president could pay!If Ruto and diaspora Kikuyu that Ngunjiri represent from RV withdraw support today- Uhuru is done!No lame chicken thing- done.He will not pass a single bill in any house of parliament with ODM/ or swiper party thingy.I hope he is wiser than this.

  4. Uhuru, list all your…
Uhuru, list all your accomplishments in central province stop silencing others and acting unpresidential. You have a whole team of people who can respond to Ngunjiri and Kuria. They(Ngunjiri and Kuria) are entitled to their opinions) besides also representing voters who voted for you.

Once you get data from Nyandarua, Muranga, Kirinyaga and Nyeri post all here for now the data you have is serving those in Kiambu county and Nairobians.

          i don…

          I have made my point.
i don’t need to post more.

Central Kenya is full of washenzi who will never appreciate anything that is done there.

          I end my comment here.

  5. Yes Mr. President we want…
Yes Mr. President we want the whole of Kenya to be developed but you are missing the point. Kuria and Nginjiri are not fools. What is creating anxiety and nervousness in Mt Kenya is the secret “Handshake” between you and Raila whose content is still a mystery to the people of Kenya. What did you promise each other? Whatever you promised Raila, that is what Mt Kenya owes to the people of Nyanza- a political debt. What if you promised Raila more than Mt Kenya can deliver, that will seen and interpreted by Luo Nyanza as betrayal which will in turn create violence, burning of schools, rooting, mistrust, killings, false and illegal swearing in as President in a word exactly what Raila and his followers were doing until the “Handshake”. Mt. Kenya and all Kenyans have a right to be nervous because we have travelled this road before. The deep friendship between Kenyatta and Odinga in 1963 has brought to Kenya and Kenyans sadness, tears and blood shed for the last 55 years and therefore outside a thorough and complete disclosure of the content of the “Handshake”, Mt Kenya people should stay away from it and it’s future possible chaos in the country. Mr President, if you break it, you own it. All the lies and scheming that Raila is heaping on you, must be on you and you alone and the Prime Minister position that Raila is promising you will be dead on arrival because once Raila becomes President, he will yank it away. Raila cannot share power with anyone, you should know that or you are wreakless for not knowing. God give Kenya leaders not politicians. God help Kenya!!!

  6. I woke up at 3AM … queued…
I woke up at 3AM … queued for 6 six hours and voted for a drunkard … and i did this twice in 30 days … i must be a very foolish kikuyu. Mimi ni kubaf kabisa .. honestly sina hakiri hata kidogo.

  7. The following people should…
The following people should not be leaders in Kenya:
    1. Moses Kuria (Gatundu South)
    2. Kimani Ngunjiri (Bahati)
    3. Mithika Linturi (Meru)
    4. Ann Waiguru (Kirinyaga)
    5. Susan Kihaka (Nakuru)
    6. William Ruto (fake phd)

These people are toxic. How can they attempt to hold that man Murathe as an hostage??!

That Jubilee party is a toxic party.

Kenyans need to be saved from such characters.

  8. Let’s look at Kikuyu…
Let’s look at Kikuyu leadership…..Watu burr kabisaaa..
Kikuyu leaders are thieves, hate mongers and alcoholics.

Look at Ann Waiguru—She is stealing from Kirinyaga bursary. She stole NYS money.Hatemonger.
Look at Waititu— he is just stealing and financing alcoholics.Tribalist and hate monger.Refused to fight jiggers.
Look at Kabogo — he insults women and he refused to fight jiggers and alcoholism.
Look at Moses Kuria— he just insults Raila and he is an alcoholic
Look at Mwangi wa Iria—-he just wants to block water for people of Nairobi so that he can sell water to Nairobians.Refuses to fight jiggers.
Look at Kimani Ichuguwa—He is a thief
Look at John Kiare— Another thief

Look at Uhuru Kenyatta-thief, landgrabber, alcoholic and has refused to fight jiggers.

    Kikuyu leadership is SEWAGE.

This one of the reasons we need secession.

Look at Linturi from Meru — academic fraudster and conman.

Look at Nakuru leaders—-Hatemongers, thieves and alarmists.

    • You surely have so much time…
You surely have so much time on your hand to hate on one tribe , instead of expending all this energy scribbling lopsided observations , si uende usimame uchaguliwe and do a better job. Writing nonsense here is not helping wanjiku in Kenya, is it now ?

  9. @Diana……loosen up. That…
@Diana……loosen up. That kind of hatred is toxic to your health. Can I suggest a tonic to demystify the Kikuyu as you so generalise? Make friends with one or two. An urbanite and rural…perhaps date one in fact. I really feel sorry for you. Such ignorance must pain like hell!

  10. ASANTE YA PUNDA NI MATEKE-…
ASANTE YA PUNDA NI MATEKE- ARE WE SURPRISED WE HAVE BEEN CALLED PUMBAVU, MAFI YA KUKU , BURE KABISA – THAT IS WHAT WE ARE AND WILL REMAIN BEING AS LONG AS WE KEEP WASTING OUR VOTES – ON ARROGANT MOTHER—-KERS WE WILL REMAIN OPPRESSED WE NEVER LEARN – ALL WE KNOW IS TO INSULT EACH OTHER INSTEAD OF UNITING AND NEVER ACCEPT ARROGANT SPOILED IDIOTS

  11. Anyone here who listens to…
Anyone here who listens to Fort Hall School of Government? If you do, you now know that the line has been drawn. A line between Dynasties and Hasslers (Wachenzi)and this will be the deciding issue come 2022. No matter what the Dynasties will try to lie and use Kenyans again in their next campaign strategy to stay in power, Kenyans will not be caught in catch-22 situation. It’s now clear Kenyattas & Odingas want to rule Kenya non-stop. Hawa ndio wenye nchi. We the rest we tow the line. The President had a better way of addressing the utterances of his closest Advisor & Uthamaki-Broker Mr. Murathe. Since it’s Murathe who first opened the political can of worms. For example, the President would have clarified that County development projects are initiated by County elected Leaders through appropriate use and fairly distribution of local CDF, not the President. The role of County Leaders therefore is to invite the President to preside over completed projects as an goodwill achievement toward the Big4 agenda. But when President start insulting Leaders who are peoples representatives, those insults start to invoke painful memories of Wakoloni and Chama Moja(KANU)by-gone days! Mzee Moi said in reference to Late VP Saitoti,”urafiki na siasa, ni tofauti” Will Son of Ngina say the same to his DP? History has a tendency of repeating itself.
