Central Kenya MPs Reaffirm Support for Deputy President William Ruto's 2022 Presidential Bid

More than 15 Menbers of Parliament from Central Kenya region have reaffirmed their support for Deputy President William Ruto’s 2022 presidential bid.

Speaking in Kikuyu Town on Friday, the MPs declared they will rally behind Ruto in his quest to succeed President Kenyatta and will not be intimidated by unscrupulous people in the region who are trying to sabotage the Deputy President’s ambitions.

The MPs said they have been labelled the  “Ruto’s touts”, but vowed this would not deter them from supporting him. .

Led by Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria, the leaders said no amount of threats will stop them from rallying behind Ruto. “We are not going to stop this grand march for a better Kenya,” he said.

Limuru MP Peter Mwathi said Ruto had turned out to be the country’s unifying factor and has proved he’s all it takes to succeed President Uhuru come 2022.

“No other politician in recent times has done so, and that is why, as the people from Central Kenya, we are supporting the Deputy President,” said Mwathi.

Ruto, who commissioned new modern markets in Kikuyu town, urged the Judiciary and the Legislature to help the President fight corruption.

“This must be a collective responsibility. We must defeat those who undermine our efforts in pushing our country forward,” he said.

Ruto told off Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu and Deputy Governor James Nyoro over their recent feud and threatened to ‘whip’ them if they continue fighting.

“The boss has directed me to keep checking on you, if you don’t change I will be back with a whip and you won’t like it,” Ruto addressed Governor  Waititu and Nyoro.

“I request all leaders from this region to work together. All your potential should not be wasted on meaningless fights,” the Deputy President advised.

  1. In 2013, Uhuru and Ruto…
In 2013, Uhuru and Ruto agreed that they were going to be co-presidents during their administrations. Uhuru’s time will be over in 2022. That is the same time that Ruto will vacate his office.

Ruto is taking the people of Kenya for granted. Somebody brave and courageous enough should frankly and candidly tell him to “shut up.”

Kenya desperately needs a change. Not an extension of Kenyatta/Arap Moi appointed sycophants to carry on with the looting and the corruption national menace.
