Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho has pledged to collaborate with Jubilee government following unity talks between Opposition leader Raila Odinga and President Kenyatta.
The outspoken governor, who has been a vicious critic of President Kenyatta’s administration, now says he will closely work with President Kenyatta to bring development to the people of Mombasa.
Speaking to the Sunday Standard, the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) deputy party leader hailed Raila’s decision to unite with Kenyatta, noting that it was in the best interest of the country.
“Raila is my party leader and he has made a move I believe is in the best interest of the country. As a deputy party leader in ODM I side with him; I am willing to engage the Jubilee government on development matters,” he said.
Joho was among the first opposition leaders to endorse the newly found love between President Kenyatta and Odinga.
“I wish to express my support for my party leader the Rt. Hon. @RailaOdinga in his efforts towards unity, peace & justice in Kenya. I pray that God gives him strength & wisdom to deliver a brighter future for all of us in this country.” Said Joho in a tweet after Uhuru and Raila announced they had agreed to work together.
Good for him.
As long as he…
Good for him.
As long as he knows,Uhuru Kenyatta is not our President.
When you have thieved and…
When you have thieved and thieved from the mwananchi, the next best thing is to reallign yourself with the government especially after seeing a bigger tycoon Wanjigi with questionable wealth being harassed by the same government. This is not about bringing development to Mombasa but rather “tapping” to the next round of cash that will soon come your way (read county) following your support for gova.
