President Kenyatta and opposition leader Raila Odinga are reportedly scheduled to hold a series of joint public rallies across the country, following last Friday unity agreement at the Head of State’s office in Harambee House, Nairobi.
The Star reports that reliable sources said the duo will begin a nationwide tour starting in Nyanza region, a perceived opposition stronghold, which was the epicenter of election-related violence during last year’s elections, in a bid to bring the country together.
“The plan is to visit all Raila strongholds as part of the cohesion efforts. They will also launch grand projects as part of the inclusivity that the two leaders have agreed upon,” a source familiar with the plans told the local daily.
After Nyanza, the two will take their unity caravan to Western, Lower Eastern, Coast and other regions in the country.
Ugunja Member of Parliament Opiyo Wandayi said the new deal between Uhuru and Odinga should strive to bring on board all communities, especially the marginalised.
“The Luo nation is part and parcel of Kenya. It has not suffered marginalization in isolation; many other regions and communities have similarly faced marginalization of one kind or another. These are some of the historical issues that we must strive to redress as we usher in the new dawn,” said Ugunja MP Opiyo Wandayi.
Key issues discussed in the Uhuru-Raila truce include; inclusivity, ethnic antagonism and competition, lack of a national ethos, divisive elections, devolution, safety and security, corruption, shared prosperity as well as respect for human and civil rights.
“We have a responsibility as leaders to be able to come together to discuss these issues and to find solutions that will bind our people, that will unify the country, that will give us a lifecycle that is beyond the five [election] years,” the President said on Friday after the meeting with Odinga.
This should be a lesson to…
This should be a lesson to many of us foolish Kenyans who walk around hating each other because of our politicians. The likes of akina Babu, Milly, Orengo and Kuria are now so confused ?♀️ they do not know what to do. We who make comments on mwakilishi…sijui secessionist Doreen and Mugeni@1, have nothing to say now.
Well said mama Raila.

Keep resisting while Raila…
Keep resisting while Raila is eating.
If you did not know, Raila…
If you did not know, Raila is now in Canaan. All along Uhuru was the Canaan. Not sure why the co-principals remained in Jerusalem.
Uhuru, trend carefully for…
Uhuru, trend carefully for you are now dealing with the most ruthless political conman of all times. Just look at his footsteps and you will see the souls he has wrecked on his way to the apex of power: Martha Karua, William RUTO, Balala, Charity Ngilu,Kalonzo (first round), Mdvd, Moi, Kijana Wamalwa, he was with Kibaki and Saitoti. He once left Nyachae holding an empty MOU as he rushed to join the Ngilu, Kibaki, Kijana alliance-carrying his political personal property-Nyanza-as he yelled “KIBAKI TOSHA”, in a word, this is a political prostitute. Ask the current victims; who were left mouth a gap as our magician sneaked to Harambee house for his new move.He has done everything possible to wreck Uhuru’s presidency and now here he comes again carrying his political personal property- Nyanza singing UHURU TOSHA!! MY BROTHER. Don’t be a sucker !
By all means Prez UK……DO…
By all means Prez UK……DO NOT INCLUDE opposition members as a coalition government. They will try to bring you down from inside. There are very many resourceful people in the so called opposition strong holds who voted for your government. These should be the first among any to be tapped in the government.
Wololo why would the so…
Wololo why would the so called Raila betray Miguna Miguna.,? Kalonzo and Weta? Ok i know none of them showed up for the oath ceremony but lets not forget, Mutahi Ngunyi was right. Political whoreness I can see it from distant. Raila were you promised to be running mate with Ruto so that you can defeat the upcoming Jonathan Moi? I see this ticket being created right infront of our eyes. One must remember Ruto was die hard ODM., was Ruto the mole planted to ensure Raila succeeds?
A series of rallies across…
A series of rallies across the country for what? I thought the campaign’s are long gone. We spent billions as a result of Raila/Maraga presidential invalidation and now billions more loitering around the country and no more for the poor. We have lost almost a year, Jubilee’s manifesto has been on hold as we entertain this endless Rao/NASA dramas at the expense of the country. It is simple, RAO came to Uhuru to repent and said Uhuru is the legitimate President of Kenya and he (RAO) resigned as the ridiculous people’s President. That should be the end of it. So, these series of rallies across the country is waste of resources and Wananchi should all reject such plans.
This is such a lesson all…
This is such a lesson all Should learn, How to trust in God for our leaders even ,when differences arises.
